How did you achieve those lighting effects on Link in ZeldaClassic? I didn't think stuff like that was possible.
Um you can actual make tiles that give off the impression of light.
Just lighten up the shading a tad.
Yeah but the lighting is affecting Link >____>

There are layers in ZC.  I used to have clouds and such all the time when I used to use ZC.  Just apply a new layer and throw the "light" tiles on top of the layer that Link is at.  Simple as that.

It looks well planned and seems to be going in the right way, don't lose it and don't give it up.
However, there's a screenshot that isn't working, but I would love to see some more in-game screenshots.
Still, good luck with it. ^^

That.... is the most incredible thing I've ever seen in a 2d game, bar-none. 0_o I just hope the gameplay matches the graphics in the end.

Wow I love the style, it's very distinctive. And judging by the style of your writing and your first post, the story will be very good even if you don't come up with 60 hours. It's awesome that you actually care about the timeline and are coming up with a good story that fits in :)

Can I have the tileset, plz? No really, this tileset looks awesome and I could use it for my game. The temple is just what I'm looking for.

I have to say this is one of the prettiest things I've seen come from a Zelda fan game in a while... and to see that in ZC is even more impressive. I wish you the best of luck and hope that in the end the gameplay will match the high standards set by the graphics themselves.

Now, if this is gravedigging, I am sorry... but I was gone for a while... vacationz.

Anyways, the demo should be almost finished and I've begun work on Castle Town, though, not too much.
I'm amazed by your nice comments! It gives me a LOT of inspiration!
Now, MetaKirby, it's not that I don't really want to give you the tiles... or, it is...
See, many of these tiles, I got from people who gave them to me exclusively. that is the reason why I can't give you tiles, such as the temple.
I've even paid for other tiles, such as a recreation of The Great Bridge of Hylia/Eldin.
But I am thinking of releasing it, along with music used in the game, some time after it's finished.
But most of the main TILESET I'm using, is available on PureZC, as the DoR tileset ;)

I'm also thinking of making two demos, where as the second will be an explorer demo, to let you explore some parts of Hyrule Field and Castle Town/Hyrule Castle.
It would include a few sidequests too, so you would have something to do...
Now, if there ARE any tiles you might want from my screens, feel free to ask. I just can't PROMISE I can give all of them to ye. Mkay?

Now, again, if this is gravedigging, I am really sorry... I just didn't want to recreate this very same topic, when this isn't even that old. Sorry for any trouble I may have caused by doing this.

A gravedig would be if the previous post was from march or earlier. You're okay, don't worry. And I think the topic starter is exempt from a gravedig. And I understand why you can't give me the tileset, no prob. Don't worry. Still can't wait. I'll get that main tileset now. Keep up the good work!

I don't know EXACTLY, but there aren't much work needed to be done left... it's just that the last few weekd (and the following) is and are going to be very hectic for me.
I may not have time to work on it for a little while... but hopefully, I can do it within the month is over.... :/

Hey migo, thanks for telling the name of the tileset. It is awesome. It's like a mix between LttP and GB, with some MC thrown in. Just checked out all the animations for moves and stuff, and they work great (except for Nayru's Love, but that can be fixed). Can't wait for the demo! Keep up the good work!

This looks really good, but I must say that the mix of LttP, MC, and new Zelda 1-type tiles is odd. The Minish Cap house doesn't fit in with the realistic forest and neither does the LTTP heart container. It really just seems like whatever you could find you threw in there, but I know that's not true. I would just like to see some more similarity between graphics. The forest looks amazing though, there are no blank areas, everything is very detailed.

Welcome to the world of Zelda Classic Kylink, Thats how it works there. Take lots of tiles recolor them and place them in the game. there's no style checking there.  ;)

Uhm... yes there is...
I've carefully gathered a bunch of tiles that I think fit into my vision of the game.
I love everything I've got... and I placed it there because I think it fits.
:/
But hey, everybody can have their own opinions...

I don't mind the LttP/GB/MC combo in the base tileset. They fit together surprisingly well. Migo, check out my Bloodlines info in WIP under the games tab. Thanks again for the tileset!

Actuallly, I've been really busy (still), so I haven't been able to do anything on this game... however, I'm kind of getting the spark back, with fresh new ideas and such...
Though, I HAVE been working on something... I'll show you... soon... the newest thing has been in work for about 4 days, and it's almost done. After this, I'll be headin' right back to The Hylian Phoenix, I assure you.
