Resolution: 320 X 240(The Demo, new on it's a little bigger)
Dev Tool: Game Maker 6.1?...or 6.0
Style: GB

Information:

A Zelda Game I was working on for some time, I'm trying to finish it now.
I don't have much Info at the moment, other than the Engine it's almost complete and I just need a story and design levels/maps.(I'll fix the sprite mix later)

Demo:Really Old(Which Means, it doesn't look like the pics):Demo
Controls for the Demo:
X:Roll,Talk,If standing in front of Bush or pot hold it and press the opposite key, if up hold X and Press down to pick up, X again to Throw,Open Chest...
Z:Use Selected Sword.(Hold & Release To Do Sword Spin)
C:Use Selected Item
V:Use Selected Item
B:Use Selected Item

Looks really pretty! Though to be honest, I have to question the mixing of MC style and GB style sprites.

Then again, FSA used a lot of LttP style graphics, and it looks amazing.

Thanks for the comments.
As for the sprite mix, I mentioned above that I will work on it...I'm thinking on just GB style.
I changed the Menu items and buttons on top right corner for the MC ones(the gray circles), the only thing in MC is that.
The rest it's all GB with probably GB/MC/LTTP palette/colors).
I'm working on the game right now, I may upload a Demo soon(I was going to upload a Demo but just a Test room it's not good, so I'll create a huge map and then release the New Demo).

Kool, BTW, if you ever need any help on this (minor help since I don't have registered GM anymore) I would be interested. I'll edit when I try the demo, but the screenshots look nice.
EDIT: Tried it but got stuck when I bought the sword because I couldn't figure out how to get out of the menu. But its pretty nice. The cliff falling is a little slow and when you walk in water, its hard to tell your drowning(I thought I was diving). Also, the roll is kind of slow and the effect you used with it doesn't fit well even though its looks pretty. More sound effects would be nice, too. Work on those and the engine will be even better.

Alright, Thanks for the Comment.
For the Rolling Effect...I've fixed it, I'm using ab Object with a rolling smoke? sprite, kind of like in MC but in GB Style.
As for cliff jumping and rolling I think I fixed these already...I'll Upload a New Demo Tonight, I'm editing Sprites and Working on a 3 Slot Create/Load File System...which May still be Incomplete when the Demo is release but so Far it Creates Files,Saves And Loads...I was gonna add Copying File but...It's making my head hurts plus you can go to the folder and so so xD

Kool, like the new pics. BTW, there are a bunch of Zelda examples(like the file stuff) on GMC in the tutorials and examples section, I think. If you need them, you should checkem out.

I been working on the tileset, so far it looks like this:

I like it so far...I can upload a Demo of the Basic Movement if you guys want, I was gonna wait until I had a story and at least a dungeon to release a demo but if you want to check out the basic stuff I could upload a demo.

I had to remove some stuff since I didn't want to spoil too much, which means some stuff will look weird or be wrong.
Has 2 rooms to test...
Controls:
File Menu:
Z=NO/Cancel
X=Yes/Accept
NOTE:I'm working on the menu's sprite and design, but it works so far.
GAME:
Enter=Open menu
Z=Use Sword
X=Action button?(roll, crawl, grab,etc)
A & S=Items
D=Shield
MENU CONTROLS:
Z=Set/Pick Sword
X=Save
C=Previous Menu Screen
V=Next Menu Screen
A & S=Set/Pick Item
I don't think I'm forgetting anything...maybe I did.
ON Game press 8 and 9 to test some TEST shields.
There is an Item in the demo and an item upgrade, as I mentioned it will seem(be) useless since I had to remove some other stuff to not spoil everything...sprites and tilesets are still WIP so some stuff will not match.

Your screenshots make me want to play it. Nice work!

Sadly I get a "Runtime Error 216 at 0040418A" when I start your demo :(.

GM6 is not compatible with Vista.
It's the only version of GM that isn't.

I also have Vista.

Looking great, what really impressed me was the actuel inventory menu, it's very sharp and polished, and alot of fan made zelda's i've seen the menu is very cluttered and messy :)

You mean where there is around 8 empty slots? theres quite a few things you could use them for, you could make them for side quests, for a total number of 8, and with each one you collect, you can venture further into the "secret" dungeon, with upon collecting all 8, you can complete the dungeon.

As for the scrolling view camera, do you mean the 2d sections where it's like mario? if so i think that would be a great idea!

Actually, I had plan on adding a new Menu screen for side quests.
I was gonna add an ocarina or some sort of instrument to let you go from one place on the game to another with different songs, then I had the idea of having upgradable items,etc.
I may end up having these slots to show what upgrades you got and show how to use them and what to do when you press Z in that menu slot, and then the ocarina(or other instrument) when used show a map and let you pick a location in which you can go(from places you've already been on).
I been working on a partner A.I. it works perfect, attacks enemies and all, but the problems is that he doesn't know how to get to you if there is a wall in between, I may end up working on this A.I to add more features in the game, Like having hyrule soldiers help you fight in a big battle against the enemies or some sort of big battle xD

Just hanging around on the Test Zone...

This won't look like much but I lol'd for about 25 minutes when I saw this on action, my little monsters where going NUTS! Too bad I forgot to make a code so everyone had a sword, so they were taking turns lmao while one was using the sword the other 20 were just moving up and down or just dancing...back to coding now .V.
