So, I made this, for two reasons. I was bored, and as a sort of "target" for my Zelda game that is in the planning stages.

So here it is:


Credit to: (let's see if I remember everything)
.TakaM for the HUD
DarkLink for the Link sprite, which include the horse and the fairy.
Calevin for the trees
Faceless for the items
I forget who ripped the FSA stuff, but credit to him for the grass overlay.

Looks nice. Especially the trees and shading.
Not everything looks functional though, like the chest and stairs.

It's inspiring! also, I believe it was Infini (Helios at the time) that was to credit for all of the FSA ripping going on back then :P

Yeah, I believe your right DJ, it was Helios (getting used to him being Infini will take a little while).

Thanks for the comments, everyone, glad you like it. I admit, I wasn't all that worried about things like the chest and stairs; they are there to be interesting, not necessarily functional. Obviously, in a real game everything (well, most things) would be functional/have a purpose, but for this mockup, that wasn't a priority.

Yea, I like everything except those HUD buttons. Oh, and the horse is... tiny. Still, heck of a nice mockup! :)

Ok, here's another one:


This one took a significantly bigger amount of work. I had to do the bridge myself, which took forever, hence why I didn't bother putting wreckage all the way along where the bridge was. I didn't feel like doing that much work on a mockup. I also realized the tileset I have been using for my cliffs sucks.

Credits go to the same people as my last one.

That bridge looks really good. But again, try and take a more practical look at the area. If a scene "makes sense" it is naturally more appealling. Your bridge for instance connects an upper and a lower plain while it appears to be horizontal. Or were you aiming for stairs.

Looks good, but can be made to look even better.

Actually, the bridge isn't finished. Had I not gotten tired of working on it, I probably would have made another segment where Link is standing, thus completing the "collapsed bridge" look I was going for. I do, however, agree that in it's current state it doesn't look "natural". I'd need a lot more wreckage, ect. I might still do that, but as it's just for a mockup, I"m not sure the work is worth it.

If you're into designing, why not help me with my game and make some concept area's for that. These are inspiring XD
