I saw The Hunter's Blades Trilogy in a bookstore a few weeks ago, I was going to buy it but I bought The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy instead :P
I was actually thinking along the lines of a 'zombie outbreak' type adventure. I've always wondered what that'd be like in a fantasy setting. Could make for a good movie XD

Entertainment / Adventure ideas?
« on: September 06, 2007, 06:24:05 pm »
Hey, I'm going to be helping out with some Dungeon Mastering at a group of newish Dungeons & Dragons players soon. They're all low levels, the highest being 6 or so.
Sadly we don't have any decent low-level adventures left to use, so we're going to have to write some more of our own. The problem is, I'm not the most imaginative person in the world and was hoping you guys can help me out. Just pitch me some adventure ideas. Nothing too fancy like saving the world or anything like that.

Wow. That is a LOT of songs.

I'd shoot Jack Thompson, but naturally he'd blame it on video games, which I s'pose is true. If he didn't !@#$% about video games so much, so many people wouldn't want him dead. Ironic, really.
I say we all go to his house and be nice to him and have tea parties and whatnot until he kills himself.
Or we could just ignore him. If no one ever released any news reports and crap about him, he'd shut up.

I remember this, it was brilliant.
It'd have been better if you could choose which mini game you wanted to play though.

A sample level would be nice.

Ah, I remember the ol' GB Mario games.
Bugging seems very jumpy though, you should probably work on fixing that.

Does she just have a very loose fitting robe or is she pregnant?

Battle Royale was great, Battle Royale II wasn't as good, but it was still okay.

Didn't the writers already say it isn't a nanocloud?

Well Eragon wasn't that bad, but it did overuse like, every fantasy cliché in the book and had very sloppy writing.

Haven't listened to Nightwish in ages. Hope she does a good job.
And she's weird, at first I looked at her pictures and I'm like "She's very masculine-looking..." but then you wait about three seconds and she's suddenly very feminine and attractive xD

Heard about Discworld, haven't read it though. It hardly sounds like a serious novel :P

Haha, remember reading the Darren Shan saga. It was okay I suppose, but I wouldn't recommend it for older readers.

I like bread. Why can't we all just eat bread?

I asked the same question in IRC, didn't get a decent response.
D&D is what got me into fantasy literature, so I might try reading some of the D&D novels. Has anyone read them?

Spongebob has no human friends. HE'S RACIST!
Anyway, about the whole super-on-topic drugs debate, I think a lot of things are blown out of proportion. Sure, drugs do cause a lot of health problems, I'm not denying it. But so does a buttload of other junk. Why don't we have classes in school teaching kids about how they should avoid fast food? Whoops, sorry. That'd be bad for the economy.
