Plus, I really liked Wind Waker. It looked beautiful, plus the exploration aspect of it - just sailing around and coming across completely new and interesting islands and so on all the time was just a great feeling. Of course many people complained about having to sail for minutes in one direction to get on with the main quest, but SS seems to have got rid of that aspect as flying is very fast, or so I hear (plus it seems to work completely differently to how WW's sailing did), but still has little islands and things dotted around the sky for those that like that aspect, plus again it does really look beautiful.
TP was really great, but way to similar to what we've already seen. It just felt like nintendo gave in to the "fans" that just wanted another OOT and didn't like WW because they didn't like how it looked different....
So we got that and it was great while it lasted, but now I can barely remember anything of it. It was just too "normal".
But once again with SS it looks like nintendo are doing what they think is best (using "newer" minds to help develop it too apparently, which is where the upgrading aspect part of it came from I feel, which does sound like a nice new addition, as long as it makes the game fun and interesting, not just a grind, which from the previews its sounding like it will (sounding more fun and interesting, that is).) and it really does look like it may be one of the best zeldas yet, even though they've still barely shown that much.
Getting over the New nintendo handheld! (3DS) and New console at E3! (Wii U) stuff and realising a brand new zelda will be with us very soon and checking out various previews is getting me really hyped for it. It really does feel like, or probably better than christmas did as a child, haha.
I don't own a Wii, but I really want SS, so I've been looking for a used Wii. Obviously I wouldn't get a Wii just for this game, I'd get Brawl and a few other games as well. I've been thinking about getting a Wii for a while, but SS is the only game that has really made me want it enough. And the pre-order with the motion+ controller is more than worth it. You pretty much get the controller for $20, and aren't regular Wii controllers around $35? So yeah, I'd say it's worth it.
If you plan on getting a wii u, then that'll be able to play wii games, but of course you'll still need the wii controllers to do that, so if you can find a cheap enough wii with controllers that'd be nice.
I gave my wii to some great friends about 3 hours or so from where I am and would love to get the game and go play it with them, but doesn't look like I'll have time to do so with uni and I have no idea what free time they'll have either, so I'm not too sure what to do either D:
One thing I do know though, is that I NEED to play this game
Don't forget the CD as well. That also makes the special edition just that much more of a deal.
I think that comes with either version, up until a certain time (I think the gold remote will turn into a normal coloured remote after a certain time too btw.)
