It'd be nice if you could still test on-device without a license so the homebrew scene could thrive without having to heck the device. What's the word on other languages? I'd much prefer C++, I already have a codebase in that, and I largely chose to write it in C++ because of low level functionality and multi-platform support. I don't think Sony would be too happy about the low level functionality and would much prefer the relative safety of things running in a VM.Well you could always use XNA to make Xbox, Windows and Windows Phone games and it's almost exactly like this program. Do you really need to make games for Mac or Linux? Most gamers use Windows. And C++ and C# are not entirely different so it would not take long to port your codebase over.
I must say I really like this program. It's basically entirely OpenGL, I like that. The documents are alright, and the samples are helpful. I'm going to be spending my next few days writing an engine and hopefully out will pop a game! This is going to be a great learning experience for me and for my friend who I'll be helping (I'm making him program most of it, and he knows nothing about OpenGL so this will be a huge challenge for him). I'm a little confused about the FAQs. After the beta, we will not have to pay for the program itself, will we?
