does anyone know how to make Link roll in GM 7

DJ, as hilarious as that is...we have to be nice to people in here. Y'know, actually help out.

Anyways, I'll assume since you're asking that this is one of your first times working with GM.

First off, when you ask a question like this, you need to be specific on what you want to know and what the problem is. Do you need sprites of Link rolling? Or do you need to know how to make him roll in the game?

If you need to know how to make him roll, here's my best explanation:

In Link's create event, make a variable "rolling". Set it to "false".

When moving, check to see if a button is being pressed, whichever button you want to make Link roll. when this happens, set "rolling" to "true". Change Link's sprite to the rolling sprite for the direction he's moving in. When that animation is done, set Link's sprite back to his standing sprite and set "rolling" back to "false"

When pressing the keys to make Link move, check to see if "rolling" is True. If so, exit the event.

OK, small update :/ It might have to wait until after my reformat since whatever bug my PC caught managed to force my PC to skip a major part of my HD... I cant use mIRC, flash, GM, or PSP now :/
