It's also a bit pretentious to say a film that has only had theater sales is "the best movie of the decade", since a good chunk of its sales are going to come from home video sales.

It's just funny that movies that are pretty generic make their way up there due to release hype that's still going on from the time it was released (meaning it was released waaay too soon for it to be right to even have it up there), but great movies like Pan's Labyrinth are nowhere to be seen :P

I mostly agree with you Mammy, but...

I'm not taking it seriously at all :P I never do
I'm just saying, in my opinion movies used to be better and their quality is deteriorating as years go by. Maybe it was a lil off topic, I'll give you that.

Also, my point was that the nominated movies barely illustrate the whole decade at all, more like 08-09.

The whole decade MY ASS. More like the last two years.
I think the 90s had way better movies, real classics. Look at Pulp Fiction, Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump. Ring any bells or are you still too caught up in your Avatar !@#$%?

I agree with Zoru on every point stated. (also, wb ;)) As for the eyes, you could just make two straight black lines. Simple but works

My personal favorite would have to be Nas, really.
Followed closely by Az, Raekwon, GZA, etc.

Oh !@#$% how could I forget?

-It's definitely Matisyahu.
Isn't that reggae...?

Thought I'd pop up and show you my afternoon's work, hope you like it. This is part of a big project I'm working on, I'm currently also modeling a character. *hint hint ;)*

Those of you who've seen my older works will recognise the lines in the rendered versions. This is because I still haven't got around buying the software I use to render it.

Cartoony renders:

Wired Version

It is fully functional, meaning that the light can turn red or green (xD) and it can turn in both horizontal and vertical ways.

Saw it yesterday. Visuals were pretty amazing but the story felt unoriginal, cliché. I'd give it a 4/5.

I've been away for a long time so I figured I'd let you guys in what I've been working on lately. Been honing my modelling skills and it's coming along pretty nice imo.

UPDATE:

Old:

Eyes are placeholders.
Wings / feet / tail are separate pieces which I'm currently making. I'm gonna animate this one.

Thoughts? :]

Oh man, the Fatal Frame series are really awesome. I still have that game hidden somewhere behind my TV, I don't wanna keep playing it alone. xD
I heard Clock Tower 3 was pretty good too. You should check that one out, it's available for PC apparently.

I don't see it as a lot of work to be honest, but that's my opinion.

It's an ok start I suppose, seeing as how the scripts are somewhat complex and they
still don't do exactly as I want them to.

If you look at the link sprites closely, it looks like the sprite used to show link usinghis sword is duplicated, as if 2 are drawn at the same time, like a blur.
Not something I want to happen, and I can't even figure out why it's happening lol
I may go back and redo the link sprites to see if that fixes anything (and it may)
but if it doesn't...
  :P

No... Don't keep up with that mentality :P Make it do exactly what you want it to do.

Good luck =)

20 bucks? Please tell me the Swiss Frank is cheap, because here the movie doesn't cost more than €8,50.
1fr = 1$ approx.
Plus, if you break the 3d glasses, you gotta pay 200 francs.

Oh and y'know what's funny? If you wanna actually eat popcorn, you gotta pay 10 more francs. Then you get the 'gigantic popcorn bag' which is like a normal one in america. The smallest one is 5 francs, but I'd rather use them to wipe my ass. It's so small.

In other words, STAY OUTTA HERE BOYS
