So I saw this last night. I enjoyed it, but hate myself for enjoying it, if that makes sense.
If I were a movie reviewer I would give it a lot rating, but in truth it made for a fun night out with mates, and what more do I want?

As far as the series goes, the deaths were rather unoriginal and it continues the "Basically it's just people dying in strangely hilarious ways" theme of the second film onwards (the first, to me at least, feels like the more serious and least death-porn-esque one of the lot, at least from what I can remember of watching it).

Also they went crazy with the 3D, seriously. They didn't need to throw so much at your face. It makes you flinch/jump the first time, and have a reduced but similar reaction the second, but you get kinda fed up with it after awhile.

The snake coming out at the audience at one point was pretty cool though, if only because it prompted me to waved at it XD It felt pretty needless though.

Still, the film does get a chuckle out of you when you see the various, unoriginal deaths.

I was expecting the ending to reveal the whole thing is one giant flash back and for the guy to decide to just let the accident happen and for them all to die, which would symbolise the series ultimate theme of "Death always wins" and that fighting it is pointless, but that didn't happen. Not sure if that would have made a better ending or not really...

And yes, the film does have a token black guy. Yes, he does provide some comic relief and yes he dies in a particularly unfulfilled manner.

I wouldn't recommend going to see if you have other, better movies you can pick from, but if you are in the mood to see people die in hilarious manners and don't particularly care about plot or character development...well, I can't think of a better movie that matches those criteria XD

On a very positive note, I saw the trailer to the movies "Gamer" and "Dorian Grey" there...I wish to see those movies ^^

I sort of liked the original but it became too predictable after that.

I just saw a trailer of this on tv and yeah it looked a lot more of the same  :-[
And adding too many 3D effects just because it's 3D is annoying.

You pretty much just described every horror movie ever made in the history of film :P...

Also, the first one wasn't original or particularly better either :x it was still horribly predictable, and vary annoying when they'd show you *each potential way they could die* for like an hour and then kill them in some ridiculously stupid way.

Mam: True, but for me the first one felt more serious and less like death porn, and then they just became gradually more and more hilarious as time went on.

I did like the giant "SCREW YOU!" at the audience with one of the deaths in The Final Destination. They put loads of objects which could kill the woman and showed them all, making it seem like some ridiculously convoluted death trap was being arranged, then kill her in a really random manner unrelated to the death trap.

I've only seen Final Destination 3.  It wasn't good enough to make me want to watch any more.

Well it's £10 at the cinema near me for a standard 3D ticket. I dont know what the student price is for a 3D film though but it's probably not much cheaper.

They charge more for 3D films there? The cinema here charged the same prices as with the normal-non-3D films :S

I've yet to see any of these movies 'cause they look so cheesey...

That is pretty much one of the main reasons to watch them to be honest :P

But on Saturday I'm going to go see a real film (hopefully): Inglorious Bastards

Hmm, I don't really like horror/thriller movies. It is all cliche scene strung together. The first person gets killed. And to make it more dramatic, instead of going to the police telling them everything (I mean everything) and saving there own pathetic little ass, they set themselves up to get killed by the unknown serial killer, making a lot more stupid decisions along the way. Finally one or two are left, who get a lucky shot at the killer and kill him.

Or it is the other cliche: Escape the death trap.

No. If I want to see senseless killing on TV I watch the news. At least I get informed about whats going on in the world.  :P

I just can't die.....wait, I can't die!.........bus

The 3D was cool the first time, then just made the kills less someone-just-got-killed-esque, and more hilarious.

1fr = 1$ approx.
Plus, if you break the 3d glasses, you gotta pay 200 francs.

Oh and y'know what's funny? If you wanna actually eat popcorn, you gotta pay 10 more francs. Then you get the 'gigantic popcorn bag' which is like a normal one in america. The smallest one is 5 francs, but I'd rather use them to wipe my ass. It's so small.

In other words, STAY OUTTA HERE BOYS
