People say there is no such thing as a female goron, and they are right... (Except for the manga one seen in attachment.) No Matter how many times I try, my gorons never looks feminine, so my request if someone could please make a female Goron in MC style. (I'm surprised how this isn't as populer as OoT2D.)
-
Seems a little pointless to have a female goron honestly. Although, with the MC style gorons, it's probably as simple as tacking on lipstick (seriously) to the sprite. I don't think there's really any way to make them look feminine, since they're not really "human" looking to begin with.
-
Still, I tryed everything and they're all masculine.... I hope ZWii has female goons so I know ow to make them look more feminine...
-
Ummm... by adding lipstick? Seriously, there really isn't that much of a difference. If the pic you provided didn't have text, I wouldn't be sure of its gender.
-
The female Goron looks exactly like the males. You don't have to change a thing.
-
WHO KNOWS? MAYBE THERE ARE FEMALE GORONS BUT SINCE THEY'RE IDENTICAL TO THE MALES WE NEVER KNEW...
DARUNIA'S A CHICK! >_>

DARUNIA'S A CHICK! >_>
XD XD XD XD
That would be hilarouse if it is true.

DARUNIA'S A CHICK! >_>
Actually his son calls him daddy, so those two are pretty much a given.

So the answer is...how do gorons have kids????
*points to the Kakariko watever village*
-
Either they are Monosexual, they grow off eachother like Sponges, or they reproduce with others like the Gerudo. Although, if it is the Gerudo solution, those woman trying to give birth to a bolder might die easily...
-
I think you are trying to make too much out of nothing. Maybe there are female gorons, but they see you comming from afar and run away like hell. X(
-
Yea, maybe they have some religouse thing to not be seen by nongoron males...

Immediately makes my response the same as---
I think you are trying to make too much out of nothing.
.
There's just no point to have another set of sprites for the Gorons.
Shefali's suggestion was probably best.

Ummm... by adding lipstick?
Ummm... Yes. From an artistic standpoint, along with sticking with a pretty common Zelda character pattern, that would be the pretty obvious path to take to make it blatantly obvious who's male and who's female. Otherwise, again, Shefali's correct with it- No need to change it'.
-
I only said lipstick because you did! Shefali's idea is probably the best and easiest, and only because it requires no modification or effort whatsoever to do.
-
I totally read your post as if you were sarcastically saying it were a bad idea D:
For that I apologize :p
-
Mammy, I rarely take you seriously. Don't worry about it!

If you don't take someone serously, they don't take you serously. So take everyone serously.
I guess I'll just ue the same sprite... I can just hint out female gorons by them being called mother and such. Or maybe I should just say it is illegal to be seen by male humans/nongoron males. (Maybe zoras or dekus see them. =P)
-
Random, that was directed solely at Mammy. Also, this is the internet. Things rarely are serious here. Except on news websites.
That's a good idea, Random. The only reason we knew that Goron was female in the pic you provided was the text; adopt a similar tactic and you should be fine.

Well said. Makes sense. Simply using text to reveal a female from a male works just fine. If you aren't content with that: For young females, you can put a bow in their hair. For older females, you can do lipstick as you said. You really wouldn't need to go beyond that IMO.
-
Random: If someone were to get on this forum and create a thread entitled "I OWN TEH INTERWEBZ" what do you do?
On Topic:
Gorons are Gorons in other words there is no need to try to differentiate the genders visually.
If you knew nothing about snakes would you be able to tell what gender they are from first glance?
-
There's a way to tell? :o
-
Yes, with snakes the females are usually smaller than the males (some species such as the garter it's the opposite), and their coloring is slightly different. It depends on the snake, the most reliable means is to do a simple blood test.
-
Hmm... You may be onto something with the coloring. (Can't believe I'm basing rcosk on snakes. ::))
-
Add red lips (lipstick), eyeshadow, or thin up the arms a tad... or all of the above. Maybe give it more feminine hair, i.e. pigtails, or a ponytail. It's not tough, and it still sticks to the way nintendo does it. I honestly thought the goron elder from Majora's Mask was a female until I read somewhere.
-
Hehehe... yeah. HAY DJ YOU SHOULD READ THE DREAM PROJECT THREAD!
Listen to DJ if you like his ideas, Random. The sprites are strong with him.
-
Really? You didn't notice that his son kept calling him daddy? And welcome back DJ. Are you going to keep going on and off like this? Or are you going to join again. I'll take your sugestions to high consideration.
