Discussion / Re: So... OOT2D?
« on: August 11, 2011, 02:17:21 pm »
Daniel Barras hasn't shown life signs for a long time. Probably because he's in his 30s he already got a life other than doing a fan-game only to satisfy people for a forum who don't believe him. That, or Nintendo blackmailed him or something.

Also, everyone has already tried to do their OoT2D, seriously, who hasn't tried? There are probably 40+ OoT2D topics from the last 3 years, and it should be enough for everyone to understand that doing such a giant game in 2D, doing all the sprites for everything, programming and mapping everything isn't that easy/rewarding. Most likely only 1% of those got to Inside the Deku Tree.
Actually, I remember HyruleBoy's OoT2D being very good (since there were 999 OoT2D in LttP style, which was quite boring) and he got into the first dungeon (hey dude, if you're still there send me a mail or a pm or something ;) haven't heard from you in a while). There was "Dante's another LTTP remake of OoT2D" which got quite some fame, and some others.
Eventually all ended the same way, quite foreseeable.

Yes, stuff starts getting messy when it comes to think of/make sprites of bosses. It's an easy alternative.

Having to pay a 300 Euros debt, Golden Sun DS, Pro Evolution Soccer 2011, Monster Hunter Tri, and college won't give me neither time nor money to buy it. But I'd like to give it a try, I get tired of MMORPGs pretty fast, anyways.

Is this some kind of 3D FarmVille?

Anyways, I may give it a try tomorrow.

Wow, by the look of the screens, the game seems to look absolutely fantastic (I miss so much playing Zelda in 2D). I'll play it when it is complete. ;)

Entertainment / Re: 3D movies just a way to milk more money out of people?
« on: September 08, 2010, 12:16:27 pm »
Pretty much. It was just a Marketing-hit to bring people back to the cinema and the reduce piracy (and of course, raise the ticket price), and look at the world, everyone is obsessed with the a f-ing visual effect they insist on calling 3D, "3D games" (have every game before been 2D?), 3D televisions (watched a soccer game, and the only difference I noticed was the scoreboard), 3D movies, 3D glasses (people look so ridiculous) and all that...
It's not really anything thaaat special, and people are so influenced and the world is not obsessed.

I'm looking forward for the 3DS, but it is because of the games, being Nintendo, there's Zelda and all the stuff, I'm not running to it like crazy because it says "twee-dee".
My girlfriend has "fallen into it", and now I have to pay €6 extra for every single time I want to take her to the cinema, and she calls me a "complaining old man who does not like new stuff" because I wouldn't spare "€3000" in a fricking 3D television if I had the chance (oh wow so cool >_<).

Eh, I'm not overly impressed by it. I think it's because it's the first dragon quest game I've ever played, and after finding out it was developed by level 5 I had high expectations after dark cloud and dark chronicle/dark cloud 2. But this game just feels empty and basic in comparision, which is a bit of a letdown. It's not terrible, just not as good as I thought it would be.
Well, the story is not the most brilliant and developed one, but it still works. We also have to think this is a DS game, and not even Zeldas for DS have a great story...
If we're looking for a great RPG with a great story, Golden Sun will be out in November, I think.

They have pretty much convinced me, and I'm so buying it on the first day.
The games they presented was so awesome, this is the Nintendo I've been waiting for years to "wake up".

My only problem with it is the money, as I'll have trouble buying all the games that look awesome.

You got us completely clueless, but I'll try downloading it...

Well, the application itself seems somewhat useless, but it was fun and strange. I read the readme file, and it was a curious.
Nice job, and, as Mewgull said, it's very smart of you to do this. :3

Congratz. ^^

Wow, it looks really good. Congratulations.
Can't wait to try it myself.
Good luck. ^^

The commentary is pretty good.  Also, the walls aren't that invisible, if you look, you can see gaps in the floor lines which give it away pretty easy.
Yea, everyone knows that. However, my eyes aren't as good as they used to be...
But, they were just supposed to be... slightly... invisible, anyways.

Other Discussion / Re: Sex Stuff *mature content*

It might be bothersome for the both parts of the relation if one "separates" from the partner to watch other persons. I mean, you have a sexual life and you see your partner "leave" you and masturbate with other persons. Wouldn't that lead one to think you are not satisfactory or pleasing enough? That's for sure.
It could be sacrificing, the well-being of the other part, for the sake of the other. I personally consider it like cheating. It's about respect for the other, that can hurt one's feeling unnecessarily.

However, the best number one thing for a couple is communication and that might be something interesting to talk about, as long as it's not troublesome.
Both me and my partner have a healthy relationship and a healthy sexual life and refuse to do something like that, it's just like I said above, and we love each other so much it's enough not to have interest in anyone else. Also, it's a sign of respect among us. And, we just can't do it. Basicly, it's just like cheating on her.
If I want to masturbate, I ask her to do it, if she wants to do it, I would do it for her. Simply enough.

damn this is just like something I was doing, but I wasn't blogging it, I was writing it all then gonna release it all in one go. Your way is better.
This is and awesome Idea, but I thought you fought Gary straight after you get your pokemon? so how is your squirtle level 15 in that screenshot?
Thank you. Nah, gave it a while, as I usually do. Trained my Squirtle a bit on Veridian Forest. :P

I choose Squirtle just because I think Blastoise is better to have in my party than Venusaur, but my favourite colour is green.  Skipping ahead a few generations, my favourite starter is SHINY MUDKIP.
Never heard about Shiny Mudkip. :O
Anyways, thank you everyone for your support. ^^
