You already said that you'd made an initial decision in terms of your sexuality.
I believe it was conscious not "initial". Two very different words.
My argument isn't that you initially choose whom you're attracted to, and what your sexuality is. It'd be like saying you could prevent yourself from being sad.
The answer is clearly: no. But once you find yourself in either situation (beind sad or having an obscure sexual orientation), you can choose to discontinue the emotion/orientation/feeling/whatever. That's what my argument was.
