Discussion / Re: Dampe and his so called "death"
« on: April 03, 2008, 01:26:13 pm »
We were done with it, and we had moved on, but now he's come back claming he's won, also yes people have done worse, but when his death was announced, he made a lot of people sad, which is a rediculous thing to do, just to get people off his back about a fan game. Anyway, we are done with the Dampe discussion really, its just this new video from him that's making me talk about it again.

I knew cyrystalangel04 would go over the top and lock TRM's thread after I said that, yet it was a good point, pretty pathetic.

Mod Edit- You do realize that has nothing to do with this topic right? If you have an issue with my decision, PM me, don't spam up another topic.

He said he would release it after January 1st (whetever that means) when TSA tests it, so I'm expecting from January 1st-3rd TSA will have played it and TRM then uploads it here, its about 30-50 mb or whatever it was, so that takes less then a day, hooray we have oot2d on the 4th of January!!!

That is what I would love to have happened, but you know, its oot2d, despite the fact that the above makes absolute sense, like all the other dates and timing that I've done based on what TRM has said every few months for the past 4 years.

I'm not saying TRM is a fake, I believe him, however the waiting has been taken too far by about a year and a half now. All the "your not patient enough" people are boring me incredibly, have been since one and a half years ago, yeah I'm not patient enough, if I was whining only a year after the project started.

On all the sites the new screens have been posted, there have been comments, including people here who say that TRM makes horribly crappy excuses every few months and leaves all the time to get away with it, true he does come for a few months, says its not ready for a reason, goes for a few months and comes back, however the only one who you can really tell is faking it is Daz123, don't deny it if TRM is faking it then Daz might as well have sent us a really crappy zelda stickman flash game that flashes "HA I TRICKED YOU ALL!!!! LOOK WHAT I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THE PAST 3 YEARS" every second so you can't even play the flash game.

Daz stays on the forums for a WAY WAY WAY shorter time, comes up with the REALLY bad excuses and then leaves for like 6 months a time. TRM has always said its not ready for good reasons, things taking long to program (he's showed us screens from whatever program he was using at the time making oot2d which is more proof), the army, his myspace is proof he is in the army, and other things, Daz on the other hand says "oh noez it bwoke" and "I appear to have lost it, oh well time to start again" and then scarpers, according to daz he's lost his oot2d game memory so many times its no wonder he's still stuck in the deku tree since the past 3 years. Or he's faking it, which is what I believe.

Give TRM a brake.

I believe TRM however after seeing all the bad comments here and every other website this has been posted on I think TRM has to start showing more proof its real (I think the new screens are proof enough) like a trailer, that shows a lot of new places like the water temple that we havn't seen in oot2d before.

Where has TRM gone?

6
I don't remember you being one of the people who didn't understand oot2d Scooternew?

7
While TRM did announce a lot of delays and disappear a few times and a lot of people thought he was faking it I really do think those people are talking about Daz123 (who I still have a strong suspicion of being a fake) without realising that's who they were looking at.

Daz was the one who was always coming up with an excuse, then leaving for about 2 months and then repeating the same pattern for the past two and a half years, infact hasn't Daz now recently come back and said he just lost some data and has to start that part again?

Even Gonintendo are excited, they have this up as one of their main updates, most commenters believing the game is fake unfortunatly.

Will this beta be released to us?

Years ago Daz uploaded his first demo, it was exactly the same as TRM's and people were saying it was the same, and Daz eventually said it was, don't know why he did that I just think he wanted to give people something and his oot2d wasn't ready, surely there's someone here who remembers that?

It's TRM's demo, its not worth playing it anyway, its that 40% complete kokiri forest one.

I'm starting to believe you, show me some lost woods or the inside of the duku tree and I'll fully believe you. Also can you have more than Link walking around this time, could he use weapons or solve one or two puzzles, thanks. I'm not insulting your previous two clips they were good.

Those are very nice Kakariko village screens, very accurate to the original you're starting to prove yourself to me slightly. Just noticed your new avatar Hyrule Boy, (at least I think its new) I can't wait for that movie!

Oh for god's sake, how much more are we going to here this crap, every time you come back you leave shortly after for months, only to come back and say you haven't made progress or you've lost data and have to catch up, I knew you'd say this, as soon as you left I knew this excuse was coming, from all the times this has happened your game must still be on like 2% or something. I've always thought there was something wrong with you from the beginning, you're lying about this game or something and its really starting to !@#$% me off when for the twentieth time you come back with this excuse and everybody says "goodluck on progress!" which they have all said (and keep saying it) every time you do this.

A 40% complete Kokiri Forest, its not TRM's....honest! It really is that hard to program!

Hyrule Boy:Can you explain me what you mean with soon? like 1 year or 2 years.

Oh come on Hyrule Boy!......it should hit at least double digits

Hyrule Boy is right, he's never seemed to have made any progress apart from a few months ago, inbetween another one of his dissapearing acts when he posted those same screens that are in this topic, only one or two might be new. Years ago, about a year or half a year after he started, lots of people were calling him a fake, because he was giving pathetic excuses, even if they were true they were ridiculous, and he continued to make them, and dissappear for so long each time that eventually I think everyones forgotten how we used to think all these screens were just mockups, copied off TRM, even the demo that he posted years ago was TRM's and he claimed it as his, and then took it back later, maybe he is real because of the mist effects and graphical updates on the icons, but still, apart from those screens everytime he's returned he's come up with nothing, and I believe the amount of times he left and came back over the years is like 10 each.

I can't believe you're using the games factory for this XD, you must pushing this game to the games factory's limits.

For some reason the demo for me is being downloaded as .mov file, and obviously it says the file isn't a movie file so it wont work.

Edit: K I just found out that unless you right click the link and save as it turns the file into a .mov which is pretty retarded, anyway I just downloaded the downloaded the real file, and it unnaturally downloaded instantly and the file is corrupt.
