Why not? It's up to the public, not how strong a character is. If your character is God strong but is crappy, then chances are they won't be popular.

We all know Sephiroth isnt crappy, and well itd be silly for a character with awesome power to lose due to vote. Simply because some people prefer awesome things while others prefer humorous.

I know Sephiroth isn't crappy, because he's generally a good character. However, for example, if I came up with a character with little to not background, and say "this guy is God-like and can own anything", I'm pretty sure this said character will fail.

Yeah...  The entire point of this contest is to effectively describe a character.  I am sure that if somebody entered a rock as a character, but described it in a way that brought it to life, and connected with the members of ZFGC, then it would win.  As Star said the point of this contest isn't about the strength of the character physically, but rather the strength of the character description.  I'd say go ahead and enter your idea, but be sure to add character to your character instead of just muscles.

Also - Obviously you wouldn't want to add a character that is an exact clone of Sephiroth either, as the point of this contest is to make your own character...  I am sure you already knew that though.  ;)

I dont even like Sephiroth all like that hah. Ill enter one of my OCs I guess. After i fins my brothers artbook so I can get the picture. Sadly I wont have a pic of his weapon, just his face.
