The four swords/ minish cap style IS really pretty, and I really think they ought to use it agin.
But I agree, the windwaker style is nice - in the gamecube game it was marvelous. The problem is, in the gamecube game there was a vast overworld to look at, changing camera angles and enjoy the detaiuls. I feel like the camera angle in ST everytime in a town or dungeon is slightly uncomfortable - like it's just A LITTLE too far or too close all the time. And the overworld - I just want an overworld.
I don't hate ST. The music WAS wonderful, the Zelda+Link relationship was lovely and heartwarming, the use of a (former good)bad guy that turns good (again) was a nice touch, but somehow I just couldn't care for any other characters than link and zelda.
For me, who has Majora's mask as my favorite game, it felt bleak. Characters, story and conversational quirks & sidequests are MY cup of tea. This... This was a glass of wine from a box. It's supposed to be classy, but it's really commercially cheap, and sour. (Bad use of metaphores)
