Sony acknowledges that the PS3 is too expensive...
http://gaming.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=7789With slow sales in the US and Japan, Sony are hoping that interest free credit will boost launch sales of the PS3 in the UK.
For the first time, a videogames store may be offering interest free credit for purchasing a game console. Apparently, Sony Europe are striking up a deal with GAME which will allow people who can't afford the console to buy now and pay later.
The news was leaked after a Sony rep visited a GAME store and the manager spoke out on the proposal saying, "It's worrying. At the end of the day all sorts of forms have to be filled out for interest free credit - we're going to have hundreds of people queueing up on launch morning - the last thing we need is more to slow down the launch experience."
Sony is losing so much money, they figure everyone else should get into debt too.
