Title: SoM Hero ---> Link's outfit recolor--UPDATED
Post by: Theforeshadower on October 17, 2007, 07:43:48 pm: Well, a while ago, I asked for help spriting my new game. No one stepped up so I am trying this for myself.
It's just a recolor of the hero's clothes from Sword of Mana into Link's outfit.What do ya think so far?

This sheet is credit me if you want to use. Bludleef for inspiration/help with the cap.

If you posted this picture randomly somewhere, I don't think a lot of people would say hey that reminds me of Link! The only thing that resembles Link is the blond hair and green clothing, but I couldn't really guess that that's supposed to resemble Link in some way.

It's a pretty nice edit though, I don't really have anything to say about what you can do to fix up the sprite.

Close...It's the male hero of Sword of Mana for the GBA...or a remake of Final Fantasy Adventures/Seiken Densteu 1 for the GB.

Bodies, I can work with...It's the heads...I can never seem to get the hang of 'em.
I wish my old laptop never broke, I had a sheet of Link in Secret of Mana style 100% original by me that was 45% complete.
Yes, Secret of Mana is very different from Sword of Mana by terms of graphics, sort of.
Secret used tiles and animations for it's backgrounds. Sword uses probably tiles,but looks to be more of art.
Secret also has about 2x-3x the animations of the main character than Sword.

If only I could do the heads...
