I can tell its staying very true to the original but I have to say you really must fill up the map more. Afterall, he starts out riding through a forest, not a field. A ton more trees and maybe other bushes and plant life have to be added to get rid of the empty feeling. That empty space makes a game look simply sloppy and thrown together. A map with depth to it however enhances the overall product. With that said good luck with your endeavors!

I will, thank you for your constructive criticism!

You mean this?  Also, the information there from a quick glance is highly unorganized and sifting through the posts of people saying "oMG I wANT THIS!1!" gets annoying.  Are you working on this project per chance?  That, and if it is that topic and by that video, LTTP is not all that new.

I know, I will make a new thread, but until then... that will suffice. I am the one who did that, the whole thing. We will change the sprites, our guys are working on it right now. Harsh dude lol.

at least tell me if the vids good!

This is MM2d made by me and some guys... somewhere else... Anyway, I worked real hard to make this demo and I hope you enjoy it.... Unlike oot2d, we are a group. So the work is split up between each other, therefore less work, less stress etc. Now, I know there are other MM2d projects, but I do not want to compete with them at all. The sprites are currently LTTP, but that is subject to change. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the trailer.

Because we like the "challenge." Anything that seems to be too easy we really don't go after... that's why you have the whole "nice guys finish last" thing, because they really are too quick to throw on the niceties and ultimately lack that "spark" (there was an article about just this featured on Yahoo.com about it recently, if you can find it you should give it a read)

AH HA! YEARS OF SUSPICION CONFIRMED. WOMANKIND IS FINISHED. Nah, it's good to know my suspicions were correct, because this pretty much killed high school romance for me...thankfully since college I've toughened up a bit, and my track record with women who mostly aren't dumb bitches shows it. Yay progress!

Alright then, lets spice things up guys XD

Agreed! And because of such...

What is the weirdest thing a boyfriend ever asked you to do? Like, where you just looked at him and were like "...wait, what?" Examples are...maybe, doing it in a strange way, like upside-down, or requests for "favors" during unlikely moments, like playing video games (which, note for you in the future if you need it: if you ever want to make a guy extremely happy, if only briefly, HOLY CRAP THIS IS THE WAY TO DO IT. I won't elaborate, haha)

If this question doesn't apply or you for some reason feel uncomfortable answering it, then get out :D Nah, it's cool. You do have a reputation as as an administrator to defend, after all! GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!

Well this is an interesting question since its hard to answer due to the fact I've been single since Sophomore year of High School (Currently a College Sophomore) and back then nothing good happened. Also, I am still a virgin so it's also hard to answer. I've honestly really never been "asked" anything strange from a guy lol lame I know.

and btw I HAVE done "favors" to a guy during video games XD Its quite a lovely way to drive them crazy... and besides it's also a lovely way to gain an edge while playing any sort of competitive video game lawl distractions

Now, this favor, is it playing good ol' Mario Kart Wii with him, or playing with HIS Wiimote?

Coding / Basic Majora's Mask engine
« on: June 16, 2008, 07:03:35 pm »
This was a collaboration of engines I made. Free to use, but for the South Clock Town sprite, I want credit. It took me a long time to make that. Anyways, basically, it's a movement example (speed is decreased with diagonals), Masks from MM (must add object yourself), South Clocktown, a clock system similar to MM (7 repeating days now), and a BIG Clocktown clock that also tells time, hope you like!

http://www.box.net/shared/tyiujgnsw8

most sprites weren't made by me, except the main South Clocktown "floor", the square day meter, and the hour bar.

Note: to get the Masks working, you must place objMasks in the room, pressing "1" will change the mask. Yes, they look crappy from the left/right side

It seems good, but the engine is so integrated into itself that I can't take anything out of it.  :(
That's because you shouldn't take things out of it! That engine should give you a idea on how to create platform game where you can push and stand on a block. If all the code in that example doesn't make any sense to you then I don't think you are ready to create a platform game like that.

What I meant was I can't get anything out of it, there are so many variables for the game and so many other things that I can't tell what is the actual block movement is. Then again, I didn't look too far into it. So, I'll check again. Oh, and I'm not inexperienced with GML, quite the contrary, I think I'm pretty good, and although this is a pretty easy thing to do, I can't figure it out at the moment. I was just hoping for a simple piece of code that does this, but I understand that it is a favor you guys are doing for me, so thanks.
