Anyone find a YouTube video with all 8 variations of "Kyon-kun, denwa!"? Are we actually on the 8th Endless Eight episode? Sorry, I haven't followed since the 4th or 5th because it's lame.

It's 7th, and I could compile an mp3 if you'd like. She says it twice in 2 episodes, so we actually have 9 variations :3

Anyway; I give Endless Eight one more ep to finish before I say !@#$% ON IT and move on to that one crazy loli anime like 3 people have told me to watch that I've been avoiding because it has lolis in it. Seriously, I'd rather watch that than the same ep over and over again.

But what is Endless 8 thing? it sounds like your for and against it, at first i thought this was a Proposition 8 joke topic

Kyoto Animation took a 30 page chapter from the 5th Haruhi novel, and has stretched it out over now at LEAST 8 episodes.

The whole it being at least 8 episodes is a troll in itself, but the anime has already broken from the novel in a sense that There were only 15,499 repetitions in the novel, but in the anime there has been like... going on 16,000 :x This has been called a troll as well, even by former KyoAni staffers. One of the original team members who had the idea pitched to him (at the time he said NO MORE THEN 2 EPISODES) even apologized because he felt responsible for the whole it being so many episodes for one simple chapter, when the first season summed up the entire first novel in only 6.

Endless 8... I love it!!!  I think the name implies that there will only be 8 of them, meaning this week's episode will be the last, but of course I could be wrong.  

The episodes aren't all the same though.  As they progress, Kyon's feelings toward Mikuru and Haruhi change.  In the first one he is very angry to find out Koizumi has been with Mikuru, but in the latest one, it hardly bothers him.  In the first one he doesn't really care when Koizumi says that he could say "I love you" to Haruhi, but in the latest one Kyon is very visibly angry about it.

Also, the anime isn't an original series, it's based on a series of books.  Though, it wasn't quite as repetitive in the books I think...

Edit - Shazaam, posted after only reading Mammy's initial post and didn't even notice that there were already 3 pages...  Blah...

I personally enjoy Kyon's reactions when Koizumi threatens to confess his love to Haruhi. My all time favorite is still from part 2, when it had the stereotypical IF YOU DON'T DO IT, THEN I WILL feel. :]
