Title: A little taste for my upcoming soundtack for a short movie
Post by: TomPel on February 28, 2009, 09:39:51 pm
I've been lucky enough to get a paid job as a composer for a finnish short movie, called "Shadow of the Demon Knight" and I thought I could share a little piece with you guys. The movie has excellent stunts and the director is a very talented guy with video editing and of course directing. You can find the clip here:

Comments would be great!

Sounds nice. The image that comes up is "The march of evil (or an evil army)" and the ending makes me think of an devastating opening shot by this evil. I hope you tried to achieve this.

Wow... quite frightening! That would match well that sort of movie.

Though I think it's missing something... maybe you could add a bass harmony to fill the "silence" between the melody notes.

That's pretty good! Although I think it does need a sort of second melody to it.
Now go sign up for the music comp http://www.zfgc.com/forum/index.php?topic=33565.0 :D, that is if you've got the time to do it as well as your paid work, of course.

That was brilliant! What program did you use? FL Studio?

Yeah, FL Studio 7 with some great VST plugins.
Anyways, thanks for the positive feedback! The director of the film had a big hurry with the music and with the whole movie (the film is going to be in showed in some kind of event), so he decided to use already existing music. But he asked me to compose a score for the next film, so I have better time to work on the music.
