MC style does not have those hard edges, lighten them up a bit. Also don't make the arm so stiff. It kinda looks like a ragdoll arm. You might want to animate the upper body a bit as well. Link has a really stiff appearance.

It's not that hard, you just need to study the sprites by looking where the highlight is, where to put shading, the amount of color and the perspective. Study these four things and you'll be on a good start.

I think MC is one of the simpler Zelda styles. You are not that confined to a small size or very limited set of colors. But one thing is that the edges in the style are not black or dark. They are often a darker shade of the adjacent color. But you could make your own style.

Looks nice, but it is not MC style. It has a hard edge aka a black outline. MC style does not have hard edges. It also lacks shading.

As Niek said, it lacks shading on the hair but also contrast. I made an example of the hair just to give you something to study shading.

Yeah, MC doesn't use pillow shading- it seems to , as in this case, follow the line of the hair.

"Pillow shading refers to a discouraged spriting style commonly used by new spriters. This style is characterized by essentially redrawing the sprite's outline multiple times with gradually lightening shades, which gives a distinctive "pillow" look; in effect, the real volume of the object is ignored."

Keep this always in mind.
