It looks cool, especially with the new items coming up... But the AI looks pretty dumb >.> But I only watched the first battle and you might have updated it I didn't read much of the replies...

Yeah, don't worry, it'll be improved before the final release. All it does at the moment is dodge bombs - which it does pretty well actually - but doesn't attack much, just wanders aimlessly.

Hmm, it looks pretty cool. Was that trailer A.I. or was it all human players? Since the link in the bottom right corner seemed to be putting bombs down for no reason, IE: when there was a bomb thing he could pick up, he put the bomb down next to it while there were explodable bushes near by.

The purple guy was the only AI, the rest were human players.  Right now it's only really programmed to avoid being blown up, other than that it just kinda wanders around putting bombs down wherever as long as it thinks it can avoid the blast.

Armour-Next time your hit, you don't die
Roc's Cape-You can Jump over a flame<-Didn't see you are going to have this one XD
Remote Controlled Bomb-You can set the bomb off on a press of a button

Hey mit, don't change it into any other zelda style. This style works perfectly

Yeah, as well as remote bombs, we can have bombchus :D
Roc's cape will be good, although it would only last a limited period, or you'd be almost indestructable.
Armour we could have as Nayru's Love.

Hmm, just had an idea, how about a level with bomb flowers, which when they get set off, there's a chain reaction round the level?
There also HAS to be levels with conveyor belts, tunnels and warp points - it wouldn't be bomberman without them.

An ice level would be pretty good, yeah.


Demo should be released sometime next week.  At the moment you need to connect by giving your IP to the other three players, but by the final version we'll hopefully have a match-making server to connect you easily.

Unfortunately the demo won't have it yet, there are a lot of issues with it that we need to figure out how to handle before it's up and running.

Just to clarify, you won't need three other players.  You can play with anywhere from zero to three other people, optionally having the computer AI fill the empty slots (Unless you're playing alone in which case you'll need at least one AI opponent)

Nah, stick with MC I think. We've done projects in LTTP style in the past, it's nice for a change I think. Also, I feel MC style lends itself more to the bomberman layout.

Some more ideas for levels

Volcano-Flames sometimes appear and can set of bombs XD
Mountain-Boulders fall down and push players back.
Frozen Cavern-Icy Floors. Do I need to say more?
Hyrule Battlemounts-Cannons, Small corridors.
City in the Sky-Like Mountain

Looks good. Maybe add a revenge feature after you die? And more Zelda-like sprites for the items. But all in all pretty good.

And MetaKirby, that's exactly the kind of thing we need input on. What sprites would you suggest for the items? Would fire-up be din's fire? Or a magic bottle? Would bomb kick be a bomb-arrow? or the silver gauntlets? And if so, would that make the power glove the golden gauntlets? Or would they both be replaced by the power-bracelet from LA/other zelda games? Or iron boots for bomb-kick?

All suggestions are appreciated! Even crazy items that wouldn't normally fit this game, may end up being chucked in.

Personally, I'm thinking the Goron Bracelets are quite appropriate for the Power Glove. Jump would, of course, be Roc's Feather. If you want a longer jump, then Roc's Cape. Maybe the Bombos Medallion for Fire-Up.

Maybe for the icons a heart piece is given for a point (custom for 3 pieces of course, maybe segmented like this:

or similar) or a Heart Container in a one point game. maybe various types of custom bomb sprites, like an aquatic bomb in an underwater stage. Well, are these good ideas?
