Banner of LIFE
What did I do to deserve this fate?
What made her heart seem full of hate?
My life was one to be born to this world,
To be like a banner, beautifully, unfurled.
Now my mother says, I cannot live.
That she has nothing for me to give.
Forgetting the love, her heart could have shown,
My life shall be ended, never to be grown.
Why must I die, before, my life begins?
What couses you to commit this horrible sin?
So many things for me to live & learn,
But my beautiful banner of LIFE, is quickly burned.
My life isn't a statistic that you hear.
I am one of millions who die each year.
