Steve, I'll try and get some ideas for the entire castle coming up this week. I think the thing about the castle is that the area around it is pretty important, like what part of the castle intersects with what part of the town- because Link will need to access the castle from different points in order to sneak in different ways. I.E., he goes in through the front door, but that gets guards posted, so he'll have to climb in one place, but they'll put guards over that entrance, so he'll need a new item to get in another way, etc..
So what I'm thinking is that I might just go ahead and sometime this week design the castle along with parts of the town, which will be good, then we can have a skeleton for what's in the town and we can fill in the gaps. We can really shove as much as we want into the town since they live pretty densely, and the more stuff going on in town, the more immersive and fun it'll be.
