Title: Can someone convert this MP3 to an MIDI?
Post by: Koh on November 02, 2006, 10:46:44 am
I know what some of you are thinking. "Why not just save it as an MIDI?"  Because thats not a valid MIDI and if you want to use it in some other Engines, like Zelda Classic for example, they won't accept "fake" MIDI's.  So can someone convert this.

Unfortunately G-MIDI doesn't have the all of the sounds on that mp3, so it might quite a bit different in MIDI format.
However, I would love to give it a go, if only I had the time :( sorry.

I hope nobody was thinking that. ::)

Since this is GB sound, the instruments should be easy, 2 square waves for the lead and a triangle wave for the bass. The only difficult part would be where the notes 'fade' in steps.
Zophar (http://www.zophar.net/music.html) has the ripped soundtrack, and probably some players that can play solo channels, should make it easier to remake. Come to think of it, that site might even have a .gbs to .mid converter.
