So anyone else here listen to metal. I'm not talking about nu-metal or metalcore crap, I'm talking about real metal.
If there are any fans here, then we can talk about what you're listening to and such.

Albums I'm currently listening to:
Origin - Antithesis
Opeth - Watershed
Windir - 1184
All great albums

Umm.. I'm pretty much addicted to metal I guess :x

And nu-metal or metalcore is not crap, maybe slipknot/korn does, but Lamb of God !@#$% rules.

Bands I listen to:

Megadeth
Dream Theater
Bullet for my valentine
Lamb of God
Bring me the horizon
As I lay dying
Slayer
Thronar
Turisas
Dragonforce
Lordi (kinda hard rock though)
Behemoth
Suicide Silence
Napalm Death
Cannibal Corpse
Dimmu Borgir
AC/DC (oldskool)
Ozzy Osbourne (more oldskool)
Amon Amarth
Nightwish
Kamelot

btw Lindgren, instead of blaming nu-metal or metalcore for being crap. You should better say Metallica is really metal crap.

Yeah, and you DARE to say Metallica is crap? Metallica is good, it's just pretty old now.

Anyway, I don't really listen to 'true' metal, but here's some bands that I like to listen:

Sonata Arctica
Nightwish
Stratovarius
Symphony X
Metallica
Children of Bodom
Lacuna Coil
Angra
Epica
Rhapsody (of Fire)
Kamelot
Dimmu Borgir

Hum, that's pretty much all.

I agree with you, anything that metallica did after the 80's is complete !@#$%.

I used to like Lamb of God. Then I listened to a whole album and realized that every song sounded exactly the same and haven't listened to them since.

TRD, if you're looking to get into more death metal(since you seem to be listening to a little bit). You should listen to None so Vile by Cryptopsy, that album blew my mind when I first heard it.

Symphony X
Kamelot
Epica
Dream Theater
Time Requiem
Nightwish

Metal I listen to:

...

In all honesty, I have no love for the genre (seems to boil down to men with anger problems hitting guitars and grunting down microphones) but every now and then I listen to some stuff people send me. Buckethead's pretty cool, but only in that he's ridiculously experimental.

That's pretty much nu-metal that thinks its all tough and angry.
Once you listen to metal that's outside of the mainstream you realize how much talent went into it and how great it is.

It seems that everyone who has posted is a big power metal fan  XD
I recommend that anyone who likes power metal listen to the band Crystal Viper, by far the best power metal band I have ever heard.

This?

Seriously though, erm, the only metal I think I listen to is Dragonforce. I may listen to another band or two but I'm not sure what's metal and such.
