And I get so tired of people ignoring basic rules of grammar. "Teached", for shame.

To be fair though, any logical interpretation of the bible would have to ignore the majority of it; there is far too much that is self-contradictory to incorporate into a single consistent worldview.

For instance, Exodus states that you should not kill, but Leviticus declares that you should kill any man who has homosexual liaisons; clearly not compatible with one another.

Fixed for you. You had it wrong.

Death penalty is reserved for murderers and rapists in Leviticus. Now, theres a strict difference between "kill" and "murder". Murder is to lie in wait, and plot out the death of another. Blah blah blah. The only thing Leviticus says about homosexuality is that a man shouldn't wear the clothes of a woman (clothes = take on the roll), and a woman shouldn't wear the clothes of a man, and that if you have sex with animals (again rape) the animal should be put down and the sinner should be killed.

Anyway, you're blatant inaccuracy forced me to pop in and say this

I distinctly recall a clause in Leviticus that to the effect of "any man who lies with another man as with women shall be stoned"; are you suggesting that Leviticus intends victims of public stonings to survive?

Also, Exodus really does just say "thou shalt not kill"; no further clarification there (doesn't seem like one is needed).

Also, things like "an eye for an eye" suggest killing - if someone kills your brother, that in theory gives you the right to kill their brother.
