So I bought an S-Video jack the other day and got it working today. I tested out a few computer games (COD4, Halo, Red Alert 3) and they aren't too bad. However, I then ran VBA and PJ64, and they are FANTASTIC! I feel like I'm playing my N64 games in HD.

I'll get pics for you tomorrow morning, though my camera isn't high quality. I'll show fullscreen on my laptop vs fullscreen on my tv. (It's actually widescreen) I'll also cmpare it to the GCN collector's disc setups. (I'll show OoT and MM)

EDIT: It might also be worth mentioning thst I dn't actually own an HDTV. It's a Sony brand and I've had it for 5 years or so.

n64 roms are my form of hd... its really weird seeing stuff like ocarina of time so crisp... but the textures are still low res so it looks like pewp. its better to have everything small and blurry so you cant tell how ugly it is :P

you do know they have high res texture packs for OOT if you get Rices Texture Plugin right? Although some of the old packs disappeared...

I don't think he literally meant they were in HD. He was just saying that's how big the difference seems.

OoT Hi-Res packs usually suck. Most times the textures look awkward or don't go together; maybe both.

I hate s-video D:... It's so sloppy.

I prefer HDMI output and other things along those lines, but meh... Thats just me

Well, of course HDMI would be preferred..the only difference between s-video and rca composite is noise reduction and progressive scan support.  HDMI is digital and can transfer full 1080p.

But hey, still, higher res n64 games lol
