I was gonna get it for my little brother but I need to know how is it? Hows the 3D? any errors so far?
-
i got it and its AWESOME
I got mine though for $50 less than RRP which was good XD
as for 3D, it works, though it' recommended your 6+ years to view 3D.
-
Yeah I enjoy mine as well. 3D isn't as gimmicky as I thought it would be, but I see how it could put strain on some people's eyes. Doesn't bother me though. I'm actually going to pick up a game for it after school today.
-
Yup, I have one. It's pretty great, despite there not being many good games right now. Most people are either getting SSF4, Rayman, or Pilotwings. I only have SSF4, but it's pretty good.
As for errors, the 3D effect, etc. I haven't had any problems with my 3DS yet, and the 3D effect is pretty cool. It's not the greatest thing ever, but it's still cool.

I want to buy one, but here in Brazil it's too expensive R$980,00.
-
I have one, meh, not too exciting right now. Was hoping the virtual console was up. Have to wait till May 26th. Turned off the 3d feature. XD
-
Nope. I might get a DSi when the price drops. I dunno. Too expensive...
-
I want one 3ds to play some day kid Icaros. Maybe they could adapt wind waker for 3ds too... i would be nice.
-
I'll probably buy one together with my boyfriend when Ocarina of Time 3D comes out, and take turns playing it.
It will be a little cheaper to split the price, we did that with the Wii as well...
Then we'll eat noodles for the rest of the summer ;><;
-
I could be getting one for my birthday in two weeks. With the recent media for Ocarina of Time 3D, it's got me a lot more excited.
-
Not loads of reason to get one right this instant, not many games out yet and not all services up and running yet either (internet, virtual console etc), but it sure is pretty awesome though.
It's not all about some 3D screen either. Sure its a nice touch finally being able to see 3D games in 3D and so on (the AR Games that come with it are pretty fun too), but it has a load of other potential that'll make owning one very fun in the near future I believe, apart from all the excellent games it's bound to get.
-
The 3DS got released? :S I wonder why I barely noticed? Oh yeah, very little marketing and no real release titles worth getting...It really says a lot when your two biggest-named games are Rayman and Lego Star Wars...
Maybe I'll get around to picking one up in a year or two... -.-
-
I can't really remember a release where there were any games that were that great really, apart from the wii with zelda stolen from the gc lol
But my memory's not that good anyway :P

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_game_console_launch_games
The European launches tend to have the best set of games from what I can tell xD I can usually pick out at least one or two games that'd interest me, but not for the 3DS >.<
I mean, I'm a poor student now anyway so I'd probably wait for a bit even if the 3DS was super-mega-uber-awesome, but really that's just being compounded by the general blandness of the games available ^^

It turns out living two people in a tiny tiny student corridorroom (18 squaremeters) really pays off in the end. Even after randomly buying five pairs of shoes, after having a thorough look in my accounts and drawing up some reasonable figures for future spending, I definitely have a little more money in my savings account than what me and my guy will need to survive the summer without jobs (jobs are hard to find, and we have to study for some old leftover exams in august as well.)
Which means I'll be happily buying the 3DS when OoT3D comes ^^ Also, one of my sweetest childhood friends has a boyfriend who works in a huge videogamestore, and she said she'll ask him to be on the lookout for any special 3DS offers during the spring and summer. Yeah!
*Dancing happily around the tiny room*

I have one. Not really worth it right now.
-
Got the system at launch (had it preordered), but for a completely different reason than 99.99% of the population...
I had only a DS phat with dead shoulder buttons and a dying battery, not to mention an SP with a dead backlight and several Game Boy games with dying save batteries.
Note that I also used my DS Phat as my portable music player via homebrew, so the dying battery really got in the way of that at times.
-
I'm waiting for Nintendo to release something worth playing that I also don't already own, so I probably won't get one until at least the end of the year.
-
Just (pre-ordered) my first game - oot.
I plan on getting tales of the abyss too, something I've wanted to play since it came out on the ps2
-
I'm going to pre-order OoT 3D when/if a pre-order bonus gets announced in the US.
I hope there will be a bonus, because there are some pretty awesome bonuses in other countries. ;)
-
You have only a couple of weeks left for such a thing to happen then...?
I've not heard of any bonuses >_<
-
Did you hear the news? Nintendo is going to drop the price below 200$! And for those, who bought it earlier Nintendo gives 10 free NES games and 10 free GBA games.
Who else than me is going to buy 3DS when prices drops? :)
-
I think it's fair to say that nintendo had realised they f***ed up
-
So I saw one of these in a local Game, on a stand on display. I looked at it and...my brain hurt. I mean, it actually hurt. My brain just went "whatnolooksweirdodd" and I felt a bit of pain behind my eyes.
So yeah, probably not gonna get a 3DS until the price goes down by quite a bit and will probably always have the 3D turned off xD
-
If I have the 3D on full it doesn't work too well for me. I can try to play like that, but its not exactly natural, so I always have it down about half way which works very well for me. I guess everyone is different and the 3D "volume" thing is there so it can be made to fit everyone.
Really interesting news about the price drop though, especially happening so fast. Glad they're giving everyone free virtual console games that have already bought it though. That was a good surprise :o
-
I think their stupid regional pricing is retarded still, even with the price drop the difference is $250 here and $150 in the US... and the AUD is worth more atm anyway O_o
If I got one I'd just import it, along with the games thanks to silly region locking >_>
-
In Canada everything is jacked up a good 75%
A US$200 bike here is around CA$700 there.
-
I can see the 3d in all but that's just with the sample game and none of the actual games I purchased for it><
It's still fun as I generally just play street fighter atm.
-
I plan on getting a 3DS soonish since the price dropped (at Walmart anyway. The price drops on the 12th for other stores around here). The only games I really want now are OoT 3D and Cave Story 3D, though Cave Story 3D isn't supposed to come out until the end of the year. Unfortunately, my financial situation just got screwed up yesterday (got laid off of one of my jobs) and I have no idea if I'll be getting enough money to pay the bills and to have any left over for the 3DS. D: Oh well, it's not really high on my list of things to purchase anyway, but it would be kinda fun to have.
