I'm still not sure where this implication that money is being made here is coming from.

Probably general paranoia or inspiration from OOT2D

If it were inspired by OoT2D wouldn't he be asking for report cards? >.>

Wow, this is amazing progress!

Thank you my good man, i agree it is.

This is the best 2D remake of a 3D Zelda game I have ever seen.

You know, i don't want to get an ego, but i agree i think the game will be amazing.

Is that Akuma?

Nope, that's

Demise

I'm seeing true genius here. Just hoping you finnish it.

Don't worry, as long as i can get people to code it, draw more graphics, and bug test it for me, then i will definitely finish it! Oh and people to make the musics too.

How did you do so much work on this in such a short amount of time? Others should be learning from you man. Ever consider taking up students or interns?

You know that is a very good question, it all started when i played the best zelda game ever Skyward Sword, and i thought man i wonder how that game would look in 2D, and since i have at least 1 hour of experience in HTML, i figured it would be easy to make. I don't think taking on students or interns is for the best, i mean do you really want millions of people that are able to create really awesome games in a short amount of time? It would put Ubisoft and EA out of business.

Will you be taking donations to buy controllers?

Sure i could use from free controllers.

Where can I preorder?

That might be hard, i mean i might be able to sneak some copies on the shelf on my local gamestop.

Thank you all for your wonderful questions, the great questions like these is why i make game.

I've decided to take on the task of creating The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD 2D

It's pretty early, but i know if you just look at the progress, you will see that this will be a great game. I'm using the link to the past art style as i feel it best shows off the beauty of this beautiful game.

Here is an early sprite for link:

Here is a Work in Progress sprite for Fi:

Here is a Work In Progress for Ghirahim, i spent a lot of time on this one because i feel he is one of the best enemies in zelda ever and i feel he sexy.

Here is a pic of the final boss, MASSIVE SPOILERS

Here is an early Work In Progress for Skyloft, as you can see i included the main places, link's school, the statue, the shop tent, and some bridges, It also features a few floating islands, and a flying ship. It's very early but will be complete when the game is complete.

Also, for controls, i know that Motion Controls are a bit part of the game.So if you have a Wiimote, pictured here:

You will be able to make use of the Alternate Motion Controls. For instance, if you hold the Wiimote, and press the D-pad left, as you press left on the arrow keys, you will move link left. If you press right on the D-pad while pressing the left arrow key link will move left.

If you shake the Wii Mote as you press the space bar, link will attack. Now it's not 100% precise, and will require you to use one hand on the wiimote and one hand on the keyboard, but i feel this control scheme works extremely well with the game.

hhheeeeyyyy, so this is still a thing..... >.>. All jokes aside, I have been very busy with school work. I won't say this project's dead, yet I also won't say it's alive. It's more like on hold....even though I haven't said anything in like...almost a year?? Though this game's slipped my mind with a lot of other things. Unfortunately my GML(Game Maker Language) is starting to slip my mind to Lua, blame Roblox. Though i've never been good at level design and programming has always been my thing, but now that Lua has replaced the little slot in my brain where GML used to be, I don't see any current status for this game unless I can get some major help, which seems far-fetched. Oh well, any ideas on what I should do with this would help out alot, otherwise, this projects practically at a standstill.

I do know a bit of html, sadly i don't think that will be any help here. It's a shame if you have to put the project at a standstill, but if you don't really have any other options. Could always try relearning the parts of GML you forgot.

Sure thing i'll try to get a screenshot of the door glitch when i can. Though it's not a big deal, just a piece of link showing through the upper part of the door i think.

I think i have the old demo, since it seems to have that spawn glitch in one of the outside parts.

Interesting little demo, the enemies aren't suppose to respawn right? Since they don't

Got to the cave

and i died

*slow text*

Oh nice, enemy stop item

A cave with another sword, upgrade i guess, can't get it yet

Found the bombs, they don't glow red as they're about to explode?

Might just be me but the timing of the bombs seem a bit long

*Demo froze*

Ok rushed back to the dungeon

Got the boomerang

the boomerang seems to freeze enemies for awhile

Beat the guy that drops the bow, was that the boss?

Hit him once with the boomerang and froze him, then just smacked him until i won before he unfroze

Is the bow suppose to do something?

If you stay all the way to the left as you enter the door below the boss room/guy you get the bow from you can see a part of link  in the top of the door

Boomerang seems to go through the green tree things outside, no clue if it;s intentional

Ok found the shop apparently i have to buy the arrows

If you hit the blue octaroks when they're frozen, they turn a different way

Died again, sorry but that's the most i could do.

Entertainment / Re: Feel the "Character" of Games Have Gone Down?
« on: May 09, 2015, 01:03:11 am »
I don't think it's the character of games have gone down. Just that now the devs don't really have to worry about limitations for sound and stuff. With graphics and sound looking and sounding the game. That's probably because of the type of games that you see being made. Games like Call of Duty, and Assassins parkour are going for realistic settings, so they more then likely want things to sound as realistic as possible. Have you looked into the Wii U? Nintendo still makes more colorful style and sounding games. They may be more your style.

Well that's just wrong, Hercules fighting Goku?

Reminds of when Cell hilariously swatted away Hercule during an episode of DBZ, still one of the funniest moments of the show.
