Wow I feel good about this, I actually finished most of what I planned on having. I did put an ungodly amount of effort into it though, lol it will be a while until I feel like game deving again XD
Yeh I know how you feel, I used to much time on mine to.

I wish TFS would get back online though, I wana see everyones entries :(.

He will probably be online much later than now.  Oh, and I think mine is !@#$% because I used a built-in fade effect that does not emulate the Game Boy effect, the room transitions are too quick and not handled in the draw event, if you walk into a building you can turn left or right before going to the next room, if you leave the room you go past the door, the stairway inside the room to go between floors has no transition, the code is still redundant in the step event, and in the "Load" room previous variable names are being set even though they are not used.  Of course, most of that is behind the scenes, but I notice these things.

I really do not care about the contest, I just don't like putting code out there that is not as good as it could be.  I like to constantly refine and streamline my code; but yeah, my engine has enough of the overworld feel lol.

I really do not care about the contest, I just don't like putting code out there that is not as good as it could be.  I like to constantly refine and streamline my code; but yeah, my engine has enough of the overworld feel lol.

If anyone gives me over a 3 or 4 out of 10, I will personally slap them. I mean, I put effort in...but uh...not very much. In fact, I said "screw it" so I gave it a funny introduction.

lol, by no means am I saying that I am better than anyone, I am just really, really critical of my code.  In fact, I went back into it and fixed it so the redundancy I mentioned above was rewritten out of the code and now the "delay" effect of ledge jumping is more easily recognized and more like the Game Boy game (not to mention I fixed the error that happens when you are already walking and then you run into the ledge so that the animation is fine).  w00t.

Whole first world. All the elements are there though to do the other worlds, it just requires someone to rip the graphics and map the areas.
