Fox released a DVD, "Bender's Big Score," the previously planned to release instead of bringing back the Futurama series!

It was decided by the creators to split the movie into 13 episodes as a test to see if it was worth bringing back, but now how are they going to do the show on Comedy Central in '08 if all the bloody writers are on strike?
Not to mention Fox smacked them in the face by releaseing DVDs of the series without paying them. So Fox and all the other networks that did that do deserve the strike but now Fox got what they wanted... a cheesy movie err... DVD and no more Futurama!!!

This Sucks!

Wait... oh yea discuss.

Why can't it still be split into episodes?
It's already written so they wouldn't need the writers.
I can't see any reason why they wouldn't cause it would be like playing reruns of a series except its a movie that they're replaying

I find that to be strange since cartoon writing takes FOREVER to do.. you'd think the scripts would be pre-written. Then again it may not be recorded. Most of their writers are also the voices.

None the less, EVEN WORSE SO MUCH more worse than this.

It's Scrubs' final season.. :(

Futuramma just can't catch a break.

But yeah, I think the timing of the strike puts more emphasis on the writer's importance. It probably wouldn't be so effective if it was done in rerun season.
