Nah it was ran through an 2xSAI image converter; you can tell by the inconsistencies on the gray tiles to the right of Link... That's my guess anyway D:

It's possible, ... but you have to do it sprite by sprite  :'(

... and it's HQ2X, not 2xSaI. I think HQ2X is better. This screen is just an old converted screenshot, not an new one.

Blend mode is somewhat irrelevant, since regardless it involves post-buffer image processing; something you don't have access to in GM without taking a screenshot, processing it, then overlaying it. Problem with that- "Hall of mirrors" effect. GM will always clear the buffer after a screenshot is taken and processed, so it'll always duplicate the last screen.

You say it's sprite by sprite, but your tiles are clearly blended as well. If you're doing it via drawing functions that run through a routine for each tile... I see this running at approximately 10fps, if not less on most computers :x

I think the best way of doing this would be drawing everything to a surface and calling a DLL to postprocess the surface. Only viable way I can think of doing it.

I'd say that if you really want to use this topic that it would be fine since you are the topic creator. If you would find it easier though to start a new topic so you don't have to go back and clean up broken image links or would prefer to start fresh given the large amount of year difference - then we can delete the more recent posts in this topic and lock it.

It's difficult to gauge interest in this project's revival when forgetting what it looks like. I think I remember looking at your project topic in the past or reviewing it though and seeing the contributor list it looks like it had some work. I think it'd be cool to see the project started again.

Yeah lol. KOT community project, Horn of Balance and my project is still active and doing well with progress, I think there is a few other Zelda and non-Zelda projects active as well.

With what you have currently you can make a short Zelda game of your own.

In other news, I'm working on a new engine, will have a demo up in a couple of days.
Quick question though, do you guys think if I made swappable tilesets, that we could have all three styles? Each person could play to their own preference.
The only problem is if the different style tilesets are totally incompatible, hopefully someone that has worked with the three can weigh in.
