Her head is a bit disproportionated, the right cheek (our right), is way too large, you might wanna get the whole right part closer to the nose/center part, and flatten the right cheek a bit. Apart from that, it's pretty good!

You know what I said on MSN... :D I still say she needs bigger eyes to make her look cute. I know you go for a serious Zelda, but she can be cute AND serious. Will look way better. Believe me. ;D

AleX, I tried it your way, but it doesn't work. I think you could just be confused by the angle (it'd make more sense once the body is done, and I put some work into the neck).

Fox, I had bigger eyes to begin with, she looked like a retard. >_>

cb, just alright? Tough crowd...well, I started out with an oracle series pixel art look, but darkened it, made her look less silly (cause my game is going to be pretty damn dark and serious), and thats just how she came out. But, I kinda like her with that look. :P

It's pretty good, but it just doesn't seem to be "Zelda" if you know what I mean... I think it's the eyes and mouth and lacking of the headband thats doing it to me. ???

The eyes look pretty zelda to me...don't know what your problem with the mouth is. The headband (lol at calling it that) hasn't been added yet, as previously said.

YES! I firgured out what it was, Zelda's nose was always pointy and elegant, while this nose is rounded and kinda big.

Move the bottom of her nose down one pixel, her head to right about 2 or 3 pixels. Then widen her mouth by one pixel, and finally add darker shades on the right side of her neck.

To me, it doesn't look like Zelda. It might look better if you move the head to the right a couple pixels. Maybe try rounding the left side of her face(our right) You have too many skin tones.  The four lightest colors are so close you could do away with at least 2 of them, and not have any detail-loss. Her right(our left) eye looks off center. Nicely done so far, hope to see more updates.

NO U...I mean...I dunno, it depends. Every Zelda is different, no? I'm going for a different look. Uhm...well, you see, those skin tones aren't meant to stand out, they're supposed to create a blend, to make the skin not look dull, which I think is working pretty well. At the last thing, perhaps the angle just confuses you.

I tried to do a small edit to cut down on some colors, moved the neck over, and made the jaw a bit rounder.  Maybe you'll like what I did, but its not too noticable but I think it makes a difference.

I didn't say to make her like every other Zelda, but if I saw that somewhere else without the name Zelda written on it, I wouldnt even think it was Zelda.  I guess when you add the jewelery it would look more like her, maybe even a head band?
