On KM's last post, he said he quit the shadowgazer to turn it into an original game. I really don't believe that. He seemed way too dedicated to do something like that. I think that he may have been forced to quit by nintendo or he had some other reason that he didn't want to reveal. I don't think he would do that after getting so far into the game. Theres actually a fan site dedicated to getting KM to return to the shadowgazer. Another possibility is that some day he'll appear out of nowhere and release the shadowgazer completely finished. I believe what he said. He said he was approached to create an original game by a company, and considering the buzz and obvious talent that went into Shadowgazer thats not surprising. It's not hard to believe someone in the industry could have heard about him, and even less hard to believe they'd want to approach him about it.

Seriously, I think you are blowing hot air. I believe him, because he is so dedicated to his game as you said. He made a solid story, had great graphics, but some guidelines to a Zelda game bogged him down. By making it in an IP he could add more creativity and wasn't bound by some rules. And by making it into an IP he can get money from it.

I don't know why you are calling King Mob a liar over what he said. I understand him quitting though because even now there are people going through his old demos trying to rip off his graphics and use them in their games - to some degree King Mob must have been aware that people were going to use his stuff to try to make their projects good (i.e., shitty projects were going to try to have his good things added to them so that they could become good without any of their effort). At least in creating something original, other people wouldn't be inclined to rip him off.

He hasn't released any progress in over a year now, and he never followed up on his original game. I just wish he would continue with his zelda game, because it looked very promising and it would have been a great game..

Want to be, will be and can be are three different things. King Mob hasn't been active since he posted the demise of Shadowgazer. I doubt he has given ZFGC any second thoughts or will ever post news about his IP here. It will probably appear one day as a game under KM Productions or something.
