ZFGC Poll 2:2D or 3D?

If you could choose if the next zelda game would be 2D or 3D,what would you choose? :jellytime:
note:FSA is still a 2d,even though it has 3d effects.
another note:the "new" game can be for any system. :jellytime:

i want a zelda game like lttp,one that can bring teers to the eyes.I loved windwaker,but lttp had more teers if you know what i meen :jellytime:

I would choose 3D.

it's hard to go back to 2D after going fo 3D.

Hmm, 2D.

After Twilight Princess I would be all 3D Zelda'd up... I would need my 2D fix. I think when it comes to 2D Zelda games, I'd want something completely different... A lot of the 2D Zelda games have been based off ALttP, it's time Nintendo gave their 2D Zelda games a new style... Like what Wind Waker did for the 3D Zeldas.

2d, easily
Ive recently been craving some company goes and makes a 2d rpg for this upcoming gen of consoles, completely beautiful pixel crafted sprites and tiles, nothing 3d at all, everything hand drawn and animated. I hardly even care it it turned out to be a good game, it would just be awesome if everyone could realise how awesome 2d is and that by only playing 3d games youre really missing out

2D is great but 3D brings more depth in Zelda games.

 3d. With three demensions, you can really add confusing puzzles. Think the arrow and hookshot things on the roof, they couldn't be done [well] in 2d. The only complaint I have is when using 3d, they barely use the y axis, which could be used for more then gravity.....

I can't believe I'm doing this, but... :(... I voted for 3D... :'(...

I want another Wind Waker... not for DS, but for Wii or GameCube, with amazing cel-shaded graphics that will make me !@#$% myself... !@#$% myself for a long time... :'(.

I would buy either since I love both styles :P

But if I had to choose I would pick 2d, I still want another four swords game :P. LttP was the first game I had ever played and another game like that would be great, better if possible :P

I completly agree, it's too bad people don't realise that beautiful games could be made with today's techinque (not the 3D ones of course). Some of the old RPG's are just amazing, and bringing those back to today's audience would be great, I think. 2D for me.

My vote goes toward 3D, but not as companies are currrently using it, make the 3d games have interesting challenges as the 2d ones did, not just the same tasks with a little rewording.  WindWaker was great but some of the puzzles felt rehashed.  IN lttp every puzzle felt new.

It's got to be 2D.

As long as it's better than TMC. And better than New Super Mario Bros. was for the Mario series. If you get my meaning.

As silly is it seems, i'd go with 2D, because 2D games were so amazing. You look at early FF games, and early Zelda games and everything that was packed in their so tightly (imagine what fun stuff could be done with a 2d game today now that the world is so much more dynamic).

3d is great and wonderful, and I do love it just as much, but I want to see someone do something amazing dynamic and awesome with the DS.

On a side note, LTTP in some sort of 3d remake would be sexy (FF3 on the DS?)

2D pwnz 3D hardcore.

For some reason the 2D Zeldas feel insanely fun, while the 3D ones are just... regular fun. <_< Did that make sense?

Tough one... After TP and PH, i would like 2D, just because there hasn't been one in some time.
Also, 2D Zelda games have something 3D ones doesn't.
I don't know, it's just the feeling and gameplay, because 2D and 3D are totally different in those things.

I really long for another 2D Zelda game... Nintendo hasn't made a 2D Zelda game in ages... The last one they made was Link's Awakening. Don't they feel they should be making another? Though, I can't deny that I love the Oracle games and Minish Cap. Both felt like 2D Zelda games, which is a great thing.

I think Nintendo should take the time to really create a beautiful 2D Zelda game. Y'know, one that's well sprited... in a Golden Sun sort of way. But still having the amazing puzzles and feeling that come with 2D Zelda games. That would be excellent.
