HAS BEEN CANCELLED! J/K, I'm taking a short break on it cos my G/F is preggers and I need to spend more time with her. lmao back on track asap! promise.

Okay so we have something of a story coming together, thanks to Zoso. Not sure about the name yet, tell me what you think. After an ancient tablet predicts the destruction of the Hylians:
"When an ancient evil casts shadow on this land,
The elves will perish and turn to sand.
Where once there were many, there will be few,
the Zophar awakening is long overdue."
The princess Zelda mysteriously vanishes without trace in the night. Strange creatures, friend and foe, begin to appear. The most peculiar of which is the Khepri. A holy but reclusive people that talk of an evil god that once destroyed their home land. Is this the work of Ganon or something much more powerful, will Hyrule fight and prevail? or surrender and die?
Anyways without further ado here is a screen:

Thanks Hyrule boy :)
@ joeshmo: I haven't got that far yet, I only started altering it around 3 hours ago, still not sure how i'm going to get him to weild his sword, I'm no good at animating models....believe me I tried once and the character ended up looking like he had just had an accident in his pants.....

I'm pretty proud of the solar flare and the shadow that is cast by link though, and those trees may be low poly (if anyone knows where I can get some better trees and some nicer textures PM me) but they do look very Zelda like...

Theres something you should know. Helios model isn't exactly smart to use for a 3d zelda project (Beleive me, I have one going myself) and I recommend you redo/make a new model. Use skills from Oot and make his left arm a seperate object so it can hold a hookshot/weapon without having to redo the whole model. Also, make the shield and shieth two different entities so you can equip/unequip it.

Other then that, looks very good. Is this using the drag an drop script things or are you actually writing it yourself?

I'm writing it myself, I used the World editor purely to set up the level, all movements have been scripted by myself and the levels made in a seperate program, the textures are free from some website or other and the skydome was made by me in Med.
As for the model, well modelling is a pain in the ass and texturing is the most annoying thing ever, lol, although using this model I would be somewhat limited in what i could do, any further suggestions Piers mate?

For a new tree, check turbo squid:
http://www.turbosquid.com/3d
I put in free tree so you might find one, if I find time, I'll do one.

For easy md2 modeling (Thats probaly what your using), try this:
http://www.64digits.com/download.php?name=q2mdlr9b.zip&id=7031
You could edit helios model in it.
For 3ds modeling use wings 3d:
http://www.wings3d.com/images/news_window1.gif

(This program is the best, I never modeled before this, and now my models look excellent)

I also suggest finding the Oot high-res texture back which makes games look x2 as beutiful

Edit:
Whats med?

Brilliant! *Bows* thanks you.
btw has anyone ever read the agreement to 3DGMax? The free modeller from the 3D Studio Max guys...I was buzzing when i got it...then i read the agreement, all that legal jargon that basically said, and this is the short version "This is for editing models in already published and supported games only, use it for your own projects and your arse is ours!"

Med = Model Editor, it comes free with 3DGS but its incredibly limited...imagine mspaint but with 3D models...

Z0MG! PIRATE! j/k, I'm making it in 3D Game Studio A6 version. Its better than darkbasic pro (which I also have) but way more expensive.

@ zoso_111: Feel free mate, all the help I can get is appreciated.

DarkBasic pro is the !@#$% worst piece of !@#$% I've ever touched. I played a game the had 3 low polly models on screen, and it still lagged. When I try that in blitz 3d (Which I use and love) it runs at a streight fps.

Also, one example came with the demo which really turned me off.

Hmm, never had a problem with it, I prefere 3D Game studio though. I've tried blitz 3D and liked it but I find 3dgs a much more complete package, I'll post some more screens in a minute, I havent got the new hi res textures yet though....

-edit- here you go, later i'll post a pic of the entrance to the first demo, its pretty dark and gloomy...I love it!

Look nice. Though the just ending thing is sortive weird. You should make some fog or something to clear that up. Also, whats med?

Hehe, as I stated earlier it wasnt originally zelda, the area these pics are being taken is pretty huge, but these are just the few trees that I have put onto it, I dont want to over fill cos they are just temporary. The bad guys are under way, I was thinking of making 3D octoroks, give them back their dignity and let them walk(crawl) around on dry land like in the good old days... maybe I'm not sure, I'd like to see the stalchildren as well...maybe I should just rip them from a OoT rom....

Med = Model Editor, it comes free with 3DGS but its incredibly limited...imagine mspaint but with 3D models...

as for fog, consider it done.

Which part looks weird mate, I don't see it...

anyways, heres the pic of the entrance hall to Dungeon 1, C+C?
