Well, I'm sitting here watching NFL network (I'm a huge !@#$% football junkie), and the Green Bay Packers are in a very tough situation now. Previous quarterback, Brett Favre (Who is also on the cover of Madden 09) has faxed a reinstatement letter, and it has been received by NFL head commissioner.

This leaves a difficult choice up to the Packers, who have repeatedly said that the team would become Aaron Rodgers' team, who has been the backup QB since coming into the NFL. Now with Favre back, it leaves a question. With him being worth $12.1 million, will they really spend that much to keep a guy on a bench, or will they trade him to another team?

You have to feel bad for Rodgers either way, as now he has to worry if he will even be first string this year. If he is, chances are Green Bay will for the first time ever, have to play against Favre in a different teams jersey.

I heard that if Favre was going to return, he was going to be second string or something.

If you were spending 12.1 million on a player that's largely considered a legend, are you going to keep him second string? I doubt it. Either they will be trading him, or he's going first string, the way I see it.

The Packers are being, basically, jerks to the guy. Either he joins them and sits on the bench, or he doesn't play, since they won't trade him to another team.

They shouldn't take him back. As much as I respect the guy, he's old and past his prime. He already retired; he just needs to stay down. Or maybe he should join the Canadian Football League. When I was up there all the TSN kept talking about was how much the league really wants him. I think it'd be best for everyone if he went with the CFL.

I think that's what he said, actually. That he'd be second string.
