Making a GB style maaaap..

Remember this? Haha.. just started it back up. AGAIN. Forest is newww. Obviously not done. :P

That is !@#$% awesome and well organized.  Strangely, my first reaction to it was that it was "balls deep" and I do not know why.  The flooded area is my favorite, especially with the Link statue like that.  Again, well done, amazing.

Thanks for the comments guys. :D I plan on connecting everything eventually.. buuut. I have to expand the ranch, make the Gerudo fortress, Zora's domain and the Goron place. Haha.. lots to do still. Plus I'd like to include the new species that were introduced only in the GB games.

And yeah.. a game would be cool. BUTTT.. I can't code. AT ALL. Haha.. so. I'll just map everything first and then maybe talk to some people afterwards. But for now, this is just for fun.

Here's a small update. I won't be able to work on this again until Monday. D: I'm pretty upset.. but I forgot how long this !@#$% takes..

Dude, if you dont find a programmer to make a game this will be the biggest waste of an awesome map ever.

Hmm.. honestly? The stupid forest probably took me about six hours. I do a lot of recoloring and reorganizing.. >_>; Thanks for all the comments! I'm going to work on it for about another hour now and then call it quits until Monday.

I'm actually learning C++ to make a GB style Zelda :) I gotta say it's an amazing work !

However if you want to make those tiles work on an engine, you have to fit as much as you can in on tile of 16x16 ... I made red circles around the little details that would not fit in an engine (I haven't done them all but I'm sure you get my point.)

Also the hard part of mapping on the GB style is that the view doesn't follow Link ... it only scroll when you reach the end of a room (9x10y(-1y for the HUD)) so you have to map one room at a time and link them at the end.
