The Conduit:

Mad World:
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFNJfDGSZp0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFNJfDGSZp0</a>

Both games look pretty awesome already, a couple more 'mature' titles to add to the wii library

Mad World looks okay, The Conduit looks okay.

Reviews will tell how good they are though.

not okay, it smells badly of a recipe-FPS
  • the usual weapons that shoot things
  • cool sounding unimaginative dialogue
  • revisiting monsters with many feet
  • slapped on "secrecy" communiques that makes you feel less alone
  • only one left that "knows" stuff (not really)
  • repetitive gameplay so you can jump right into it

pros:
  • colour, not just brown.
  • illuminati references.

The conduit looks great as a REAL FPS (ignoring Red Steel which was ok but boring) for Wii, so that looks great, and the enemies look wicked.
Mad World looks violent and omigosh i love it.

Conduit looks like a 6.5 to 7.5 game to me. Nothing special.

Mad World is like, Twenty out of 5 stars.

Gotta say High Voltage has some pretty nice tech going on there. It almost looks as good as Prime 3. Too bad it doesn't seem to run anywhere near 60 FPS :(

the HV tech demo video looked around 60fps, conduit's video is pretty heavily compressed.. even the reso is horrible.

At the very least I'm expecting it to be better than red steel, they've still got a lot of time to work out whatever kinks they might have considering they haven't even got a publisher yet

There's a high res video on IGN. You get a better impression of the game if you watch that instead of the crappy youtube video :P

The whole video looked 30fps, even the title screen thing, I'm going with video compression

Yeah, the art style of Mad World looks very interesting. The whole red/white combination makes it very appealing.

I hope Mad World's art style doesn't become too repetitive and boring after a while. It looks really cool.

This is basically my opinion at this point.

Taka, why are you defending "The Conduit"?  It looks like crap-- it looks to have no art style or originality at all.

It has illuminati references, so I'm interested.
Also the wii doesn't really get the same typical FPS games as PS3 and 360, so even if it does look pretty standard, it's nice to know some developers think the wii does have the same gamers as the other consoles

Sounds like you're just lowering your standards because the Wii doesn't have any FPS games.

I don't think I could lower my standards any further than they are for FPS games
