Yeah, basically I have 100 blocks left on my Wii, what with saves (Brawl alone takes over 100), channels, and Virtual Console games. I can't really get anything new until I figure out a better storage solution, and I don't want to temporarily remove channels (why should I have to?). >.< If the Wii could save and load directly to/from SD cards, I'd be set. But what gives?

How much of that do you need access to at one time? I would really just suggest temporarily moving them onto an SD card until you need them...

What? The Wii doesn't make direct saves/loads to a SD card?  Maybe I should rethink getting a Wii until it is cheeper...lol...j/k
Maybe the WII-Blu/2 will have a better storage capacity?

I'd get rid of the channels you never use, and any N64 games you rarely play. Redownloading them takes around 5 minutes or less, in total (signing into the Wii Shop, etc). It's easily manageable.

I know I could remove them to save space, but I don't want to go to the trouble and shouldn't be forced to. Why would they build the Wii with such a measly amount of memory? 512 Mb? Come on Nintendo! You can buy GB flash drives for 15 dollars (and I would gladly have payed 15 extra dollars on my Wii to get a gig of space)

That is the primary reason why I haven't bought a new one yet.  They HAVE to gain external HDD support sooner or later, so I'll wait for that before paying them for being stubborn.  I really want to play Brawl and No More Heroes so they better make an announcement soon, (preferably during E3).

It would be nice if Nintendo would make make it possible to load stuff directly from a SD card through a firmware update.

They don't want to let you save/load directly to an SD card, because that would make it incredibly easy to cheat. Shame really.

o_O Who cares if some people want to cheat their way out of the full gameplay experience? That's their best reason for denying SD Card Save/Load?

I don't get it! How can you cheat that way? And why would we all be punished because some !@#$% want to ruin their fun by using cheats?

Because.. oh wait.

I was going to say because people could take their save files to their computer and edit them.

But you could do that already, so what's the big idea?

Jeez, guys, he wasn't stating it as fact. >_>

You can buy GB SD cards for $15, I imagine.

Actually, they're much more overpriced. My brother got a Gig SD for 30 dollars. o_O Plus, you still can't save/load directly to them, so we're back to square one.

1. Boohoo.
2. How long does it take to copy something onto and off of an SD card? Just think about what you might not use for a few days, weeks, or even months, put it on the SD card, go back to it later.

Actually, thinking back, it was 50 dollars. Its not worth an ENTIRE WII GAME just to backup my data.

Be thankful that Wii games are so cheap in the US, then. It would cost the equivalent of $80-90US to buy a Wii game in the UK.

Seriously, stop bitching. You don't want to pay to play your video games? Fine then, don't pay, don't play. Or, even better, switch consoles!

If you really think it's something the console needs, contact Nintendo directly and suggest they include it in future Wii updates. Don't !@#$% on a fan forum like we really give a !@#$%.

Okay, you seriously have to stop posting now. o_O What's the big deal anyways? Contacting Nintendo won't do any good, as they'll respond with a robot, its not my fault that your county/region overcharges for video games, and why not post when I have something to talk about?
