Good sites/guides for beginning 3d modeling?

I've been wanting to start some lite 3d modeling.  I know about Blender,Maya, 3DS, and Anim8tor.  I just have no idea how to get started really.

Anyone care to point me in a good direction?
Most of the sites I browsed have their tutorials all over the place and not really set up in a 1-2-3-etc style.

Blenders Noob to pro is pretty good.
