I'm not experiencing this problem at all. No way I can fix it unless I can understand what's going on.
I've reverted the updates database to an older version, without the intro.swf, just in case. Let me know if this works any better.

runtime errors with richtx32.ocx
after i found a replacement i get, "Object variable or With block variable not set" when trying to make a new character

edit: it worked fine the second time however
