this is probably one of the only projects i'll ever finish ;p
as you can see, i've done most of the groundwork already
as it's already capable of allowing you to add basic graphic objects, all that's left is to add the additional objects and whatever extra features i deem necessary
tools like these are a double edged sword, while it does make it easier, you don't learn anything from it since it's all created by the program.
atm it could also double as a basic main menu or sub menu authoring tool.
It's indeed a nice idea, how will the buttons work? Will we upload or does the program already brings a few buttons?
could you explain a bit more?
if you're talking about the button graphics in the screenshot, as you can see to the right where it has the sprites thing, that's where you basically copy & paste sprite information which the program can then use that information to give you an accurate display of what it'll look like ingame, both sprites and the objects themselves are separate. "Buttons" will have all their code auto generated for them, with all the code associated with them, i probably couldn't list it all.
Also, will you be able to set the screen size/res? Because buttons on the left'll be fine due to relativity of X, but on the right, their position relative to the right of the screen would change, and become annoying.
i did originally, i added in the screen sizes most people would naturally want ((S)nes, Gb(c), GBA, NDS, PSP, CUSTOM), as for things that appear on the right, already taken care of as you have the option which side you want to dock the object on
