People must be very bored if they sit around and type in random directories all day long, what about /chat or /irc are you going to question the reasons they are there?
Site team will have a placement for their beta content /site will not be the location of that content. It will be password locked and secure to ensure no one sees something they're not supposed to see. /site surely is not password locked. I was in the process of making individual FTP accounts for the site team, when my internet connection dropped. it came back around 11:30pm, but I had long been sleeping by that time (I needed to catch up on my sleep so it worked out for the best). I created /site last night for some reason, I don't really recall why.
