If you could change your personality

If you could change something about your personality, what would it be?

Myself, I would make myself more self-confident and more outgoing. I worry about the smallest things because I always think I'm gona screw up ... and I think that people think that I'm a boring person because I'm quite quiet, but I'm not really, and I'd just like to prove them wrong.

I'd like to a bit more creative sometimes. I used to be but ever since I stoped drawing I've lost my creativity. :(
And sometimes less stubborn.

Hard to tell though.

I'd be more charming and seductive...also I'd like to (this is really just curiosity though)...you know, actually be able to feel sympathy and some other supposedly human things (like respect and admiration) so I don't have to act like I am just to maintain the social mask...though a lot of social behaviour is probably faked anyway for most people, so I doubt I'm that different :P

I mean when you see a person you know crying, do you actually feel their pain (sympathy) or do you merely act like you do because that's what the social pressure demands? For me it always feels like I'm acting out the motions, that I'm acting comforting and caring, but remain 'dead' inside, so-to-speak.

This always leaves me feeling detached from other people, and I guess I'm just curious as to what it's like...

I would change my personality to be a better aim. That way the next time my step-brother challenges me to an airsoft war I could destroy him. :-*

You mean you don't really care about them and you make them believe you do?
Here we call it being fake. If you care, you try to help them. If you don't care, they must have friends who do.

Also, Moldrill, is Moldorma your step-brother?

I originally wrote in that post something like "Though it's probably the same for everyone, people just don't like to admit to the global lie", but edited it out :)

Friends bring new experiences, new pleasures, and stop life becoming boring (which is a cynical way of putting they are fun to be around), so it's in my interest to keep them by being nice and comforting. Isn't that why people comfort other people?

In instances that I deem myself to be negative, I actually have some positive features that I want to extrapolate to my positive personality.  Therein, a deep voice, eyes that are unwavering when looking into others' eyes, a posture with my back back and my hips a little forward, an authoritative confidence that makes others feel just a little unsure about themselves but drawn into me, etc.  I must not use it though due to the drain it puts on my brain, lol, I like to go around in a zombie state with just the necessary attributes to get by and learn what I can.

Really cool thread, I want to be more outgoing, I think I am beeing more outgoing, I used to be really really shy, now I have 10 friends, we get drunk go to party, etc..

I would change the way I handle my emotions...

I don't let go of things, and I'm almost too trusting of people IRL. I give everything I have to people and get nothing in return (sometimes I get heartache in return); so yeah... That's what I'd change... I'd make myself a bit of a DICK I guess, less nice and caring :(

This topic is stupid. Everyone who posted saying they want something to be changed is weak.

You can change your personality quite easily. If you're a selfish nob then stop taking stuff from everyone else without permission and be more polite. If you're not outgoing enough then just learn to put your fear in the back of your mind. After having a sculling lesson today I found it a lot easier to be more outgoing if you have the worst that can happen to you happen. After I capsized I found myself more relaxed and a bit more confident.
