Has anyone seen or read the Langoliers, by Stephen King? There seem to be a lot of similarities...
-Both are centered around people who go from a plane to a strange place
-In the book, at least, electromagnetics are mentioned, and the pilot, if I recall correctly, debunks that theory because he said the plane would have fallen apart, which was what happened on Lost
-The blind girl leads Craig Toomy to his death, even though she's supposed to be back in the plane, sort of like Walt trying to get Locke to get out of the ditch
-When Locke confronts Jack, he tells him, "I'll kill you if I have to," which is similar to what is going through Craig's mind during most of the Langoliers
-Craig is determined to get to Bostom in the same way Locke is determined to stay on the island
-Craig's father's name is Roger, like Ben's father
-ANOTHER character whose name escapes me is Brittish, like Charlie, and sacrifices himself to save the others, like Charlie
-The Langoliers themselves remind me somewhat of the monster, but then again, so does It/Pennywise the Dancing Clown/Robert Gray
There may be more.
