Two things wrong: First, this is obviously Zelda. Second, as per the rules without a decent trailer or demo this goes into the Early Production board.

Hyrule Boy is right, he's never seemed to have made any progress apart from a few months ago, inbetween another one of his dissapearing acts when he posted those same screens that are in this topic, only one or two might be new. Years ago, about a year or half a year after he started, lots of people were calling him a fake, because he was giving pathetic excuses, even if they were true they were ridiculous, and he continued to make them, and dissappear for so long each time that eventually I think everyones forgotten how we used to think all these screens were just mockups, copied off TRM, even the demo that he posted years ago was TRM's and he claimed it as his, and then took it back later, maybe he is real because of the mist effects and graphical updates on the icons, but still, apart from those screens everytime he's returned he's come up with nothing, and I believe the amount of times he left and came back over the years is like 10 each.

Sorry i haven't updated things for a while it's just that i lost all my data and had to go through hundreds of Cd's to find any of my old gmd's, And i maneged to find one but i have to catch up on loads of work to get back to were i was but it shouldn't take to long.......

I'll be updating a lot now on my progress so keep checking..... ;D

Oh for god's sake, how much more are we going to here this crap, every time you come back you leave shortly after for months, only to come back and say you haven't made progress or you've lost data and have to catch up, I knew you'd say this, as soon as you left I knew this excuse was coming, from all the times this has happened your game must still be on like 2% or something. I've always thought there was something wrong with you from the beginning, you're lying about this game or something and its really starting to !@#$% me off when for the twentieth time you come back with this excuse and everybody says "goodluck on progress!" which they have all said (and keep saying it) every time you do this.

Who cares. sciky, what's wrong with you - if you don't like it, just ignore it and don't reply to it.

I'd like to see this, but without all the bs. I haven't seen even one ounce of progress. The least you could do is post a new screenshot showing where you are with progress. It must be extremely inconvenient to "lose data" every time you make a new topic - I mean come on, it hasn't even made progress since the old ZFGC over a year ago. It shouldn't take that long to make the Kokiri Forest/Deku Tree - and if it does, I'm not planning on seeing the final game at this pace until 2013.

Will do, since last year alot has happened to my computer (Windows Vista etc...) i have to see if i can recover a gmd. But we will talk more in private. I have alot of time to work now ssein as i have learnt games programming in c# and i do Game Maker as a subject at school :P

Screens look nice, also it's "Lake Hylia" not "Lake Hyrule", as I remember, unless my memory only lasts two days. :P

Demo 2 coming soon will include-
a menu to choose 3 diffrent areas to play and test out the weapons and items (maybe some enimies)

I dont think it has to fit into the sotry, it could be some secret item or something like that for a special part on a stage or zone

This is stupid. Offering credit as some sort of twisted incentive or "pay" for people helping you. Credit shouldn't have to be offered, it should be given anyway. Not that you have enough ideas already, Nintendo gave you all of them  :)

update report 

i've been working on the puzzles in-side the deku tree (which is going well) and hopefully have in-side the deku tree (up to the boss) finished this weekend.

The menus aren't really different, only the fact that the menu backgroudns are drawn rectangle or sprites drawn separate, at a lower alpha. I like the way that looks.

So far looks very good! I like the little details and kokiri forest looks great.

Nice! No Offense but at first I thought it was all talk but after seeing the video I believe this is going to be sweet.

Video looks nice though but I couldn't tell due to the res but when link climbs the vines is he moving or is it just a one frame animation?

Huh, you're using a very unique level design. Almost all OOT remakes I've seen have links house at the top rather than the bottom. That's the main problem with making a 3D game in 2D, you get conversion errors in perspective like that. Like in your game, Link's house faces the wrong way.

Looks really nice. You're going to want to animate the setting items to c-buttons eventually though. The sounds and everything are nice and clean.

It doesn't matter. I can just open it up in a memory viewer and view a dump of all the code you wrote. I wouldn't do that because I'd be an !@#$% and I wouldn't need to know how you do anything you do, but regardless, code can be viewed. Code is the only thing worth looking at anyway. Graphics and sounds can be ripped.

And you should've used GM6 for various other reasons besides a decompilation problem. I'd just stick to GM5.3A at this point, if you've done a lot.

Can we get info on how the demo is coming along?

No. You don't understand. You can see complete, uncompiled code. You open up GM in a memory viewer and with a bit of searching, you can find exact code. NOt ascii. Actual text.

Q. how come you're still mapping out lake hylia? I dont think that the demo should have up to all 3 spiritual stones. It's great, that you're going to produce alot for us, but when you hold back the demo for sooo long people(like me) will get restless and beg you for it! can you give us an estimate of how much longer it will take for the demo to come out? I possibly can't wait for it any longer!

OK demo 1 will include -

1. file reg
2. fully working sub-menus
3. navi
4. z targeting
5. fully working day and night system
6. working ocarina system
7. some weapons to test (not sure on how many yet)
8. three area's to test (Kokiri Forest, Kakariko Village, Lake Hyila, (maybe a test dungeon))

there might be more not sure yet........

Heh, I thought that you had made from starting area and worked along, not made test areas, but it's still awesome! Will we have access to Hyrule fields, or just get transported by a key or something? Either way I can't wait for this! This has inspired me to use new lttp sprites in my game.(Not a Zelda game, but almost!) Also, just a small comment on what I would like, how about an ocarina designing tutorial(hope fully GM6 ;)) or a music one for that, I might make a game in the future called: The War of Inkartor; The five shells.(Not a good name but will be good plot, might make better name)

What do you mean? It's his OOT2D, with some new stuff, that's why there's a plus.

Sounds like you have no idea what the hell 2??D is.

2??D can mean games in Mode 7, such as Mario Kart or F-Zero, which are 2D, but imitate 3D capabilities. It can also mean isometric games, which have a 3D appearance but use sprites. Or (and this is my favorite type of video game), it can mean 3D games which emulate 2D gameplay styles, such as 3D sidescrollers like Super Smash Bros., Kirby 64, and Viewtiful Joe, or 3D games played from an entirely top-down perspective.

i forgot to metion that i think it would be cool if you made it possible to get into the deku tree as an adult the way i see it is that if you can get into dondigo cavern as both you should the deku jabu jabu is not there anymore so i understand why he  can't but the deku tree he's still there and it just makes nosenes just thought it would be neet

i'm making a new trailer for oot2d+ that will be about 3 minutes long and include loads of diffrent gameplay throught out the game instead of just one little bit like my old trailers were, it will be ready by the weekend so keep checking back....
