Title: RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAGEEEE!!
Post by: Kyubi on November 15, 2008, 10:45:41 pm
So I've been playing Wind Waker all day, since about 4/5ish, and it's nearly 11 now. I'd been getting the triforce shards and filling in my sea chart. I get to Puppet Gannon, fire a light arrow at his sphere in really close proximity (basically overlapping)- and the game just freezes on me, leaving me looking at a !@#$% load of light rays, which looked pretty damn good, and this annoying buzzing sound. I doubt I'll ever play Wind Waker again now, since I just cannot be arsed to do all that again.

So yeah, post your RAGE gaming stories.

My Game Cube once froze when I was playing Metroid Prime, and I have had my Wii freeze once when I was playing Twilight Princess on it.  That really irks me.  In terms of what makes me rage in a game is like when I am going for a high score in Tetris and I get a hand cramp and make one wrong move that leads to vast problems due to the speed of the falling pieces.

Either that, or like in the Metroid Prime games when you have good abilities and then in some cinematic happens and you lose most of them.  Luckily for me, this changed for Metroid Prime 3.

I beat Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask dozens of times. I beat Twilight Princess about 7 times. I beat Wind Waker...twice. I'd like to tell you that the Triforce quest goes faster the second time around, but I'd be lying. The ending is cool, but probably not worth TWO Triforce quests.

When on Metroid Prime I opened my map to find where the objective was and I had to go back to the beginning and then further past that. I mean !@#$% seriously, that game was good but Nintendo suck at gameplay.

"So our player is here, where shall we put the objective? We want a place that will surely expand the time it takes to complete the game."

"I know, go back to the beginning of the level, and then put it Here"

"Ah yes, Backtracking, that's innovative and not done often in games"

Let's see. While playing Mother I accidentally erased my file somewhere around the middle of the game. In Mother 2 I accidentally erased my file somewhere around the middle of the game. In Mother 3 I accidentally erased my file on the second to last chapter of the game.

Yet I didn't just give up. I started over and got back to where I was. From there I was more careful and beat Mother and Mother 2. I already got back to where I was in Mother 3, but I haven't beat it yet.

Wow. You are an airhead. It's official. Shouldn't you have learned to be more careful after doing that twice?

I was in Memoria in FFIX. I started a new game for shits and giggles since I was bored. I saved. Over my disc 4 file.

Since then I've always saved two copies of games.

I always save two copies as well.

So, I'm on Disc 4 of FFIX.

I refuse to finish.

Animal crossing + sisters knocking gamecube off shelf while fighting = No more save file.

Needless to say, I'm an only child now. j/k but seriously, I was PISSED.

I was replaying Tales of Symphonia, when in triet I saved over my old save file which I wanted to save for fun.

I also now keep two save files for games.

A Wind Waker glitch JUST happend to me.
I started on Windfall island, and my next destination was to go to Forest Haven (to get the pearl). So I went there, went through the temple and beat the boss, but the cinema scene afterwards didn't work. It only showed Makar and the Heart Container. Link was trying to run to stand in front of Makar but the fuckin flower was in his way!! So I had to turn off the game because it didn't technically freeze, but a !@#$% glitch. I am fumming!

Every time I play Fable 2, I get a disc read error at the most inconvenient times...

Mainly when I'm idling, but sometimes it happens during important quests or after I buy a lot of property >_<

Dark chronicle (dark cloud 2) has an annoying habit of freezing at the most inconvenient times, just as I exit the menu. Luckily this doesn't happen too often.

Oracle of Ages. Dungeon #7, Jabu Jabu's belly. I was stuck: couldn't raise the water, couldn't decrease the water, couldn't go onwards (missed a key somewhere), and couldn't get out of the temple. I saved older my old file. Bad idea.

Has anyone ever had a younger silbing that the memory card out when it clearly states to keep it in? Then you put it back in, only to find that all of your saves are curropted? That is my rage, happened to my gamecube with my little sister > : O.

It's all good, at least she didn't do it to my playstation's memory card, if she did, I would have lost a PERFECT (everthing) FFVII file ;-;.

Something similar happened to me, and I almost wrote about it. My friend's little brother was playing Donkey Kong 64 and took out the cartridge when the N64 was still on. ERASED ALL OF MY HARDWORK. Dumb kid.

The early pokemon game boy games only had one save, and twice in a row my brother saved over my file when I was at the end.

I thought all pokemon games had one save, even diamond and pearl?

I'm pretty sure Pearl and Diamond have one save file too. I just got Pearl, and noticed the same message "There is an existing file, are you sure?" right before saving.
