Surely admins can think of something better than just throwing in last year's prank.

I do think they should have tried to be more original this year... I mean seriously, where is our big prank?

But that doesn't mean changing word filters isn't funny.  I love seeing how angry some people get XD

I think it's funny watching members struggle trying evade the filter.  I always have the filters turned off, so that's the only thing I ever see.  For example, this topic:

lol, there isn't one :). None of us had the time or foresight to think one up, so cpp just slapped on some filters and I did a bunch of random stuff to the forums source code.

Here, lets call this a mockup April 1st, you can have another tommorrow :P. And you can do the pranks this time.

:p

Just so you know it wasn't the admin's that changed the filter. Someone who has 'management' abilities (but not administrative) authority did it. Mammy and I both immediately shut off our censor after about five minutes of it. :p

We have nothing better to do, I think opting for no April Fools day joke would have been better, but after March 31st's chaos we didn't have much time to think up anything good in the way of pranks... that and Kirby is no longer with us.

[you] tag never fails. -- My idea was to fire all of the mods that didn't show up to the staff meeting (er, or reply to the topic in general). Just not enough time to get the ball rolling this year, sometimes it happens, what can I say. :(

It became kind of unreadable though...It was alright, I would have actually preferred nothing though.
